[OUTDATED] How to launch gta 4 in window 10

Those thing that you need to do it

• Download your game from steam in window 10
  
• Because your game version is 1.0.8.0 so you need to downgrade your game version to 1.0.7.0 by installing gfwlivesetup.exe
  
• Create commandline.txt and put it into gta 4 directory
  
• Find LaunchGTAIV.exe and then create shortcut in your desktop
  
• Put those line in your LaunchGTAIV.exe - Shortcut

You need to downgrade your game version to 1.0.7.0 by installing gfwlivesetup.exe

Follow those steps to install gfwlivesetup.exe (just from step 1 to 11) then do my

Download it and then log in with your Xbox account/Microsoft account (they are same)
Then you need to download GTA 4 patch 1.0.7.0

Create commandline.txt and put it into gta 4 directory

Create commandline.txt

Open this file and then you insert those line

• -norestrictions
  
• -nomemrestrict
  
• -novblank
  
• -availablevidmem 80.0
  
• -percentvidmem100%

Features in those lines

Lines in 1 + 2 + 3: fix error graphic that you can't change settings in game
Lines in 4 + 5: fix infinite loading screen

Find LaunchGTAIV.exe and then create shortcut in your desktop

• Go to GTA 4 directory
  
• Here is my example: D\steam\steamapps\common\Grand theft auto 4\GTA 4
  
• Find LaunchGTAIV.exe
  
• Press right mouse button on LaunchGTAIV.exe
  
• Press send to
  
• Press desktop (create shortcut)

Put those line in your LaunchGTAIV.exe - Shortcut

• Go to your desktop
  
• Press right mouse button on LaunchGTAIV.exe
  
• Select properties
  
• Go to the target section
  
• Go to the end and put a space
  
• Then type the script -norestriction -availablevidmem 80.0 -percentvidmem100%
  
• Click advanced\click run as administrator
  
• Click apply then ok

what about 80.0. it's your dedicated video memory. if you have 0mb or 32mb, you write 30.0. It must below than your dedicated video memory or it is called VRAM. (10.0 = 1000 MB)
To know your dedicated video memory (windows 10)

• Write "run" on the search box
  
• Write "dxdiag"
  
• If you only have onboard video card: Press Display\ Find Display Memory
  
• If you only have VGA: Press Render\ Find Display Memory
  
• For example, if you have 4120 MB, it should be 40.0

When you using this method, steam can't calculate your hours that you have played on GTA 4
