Armor Values Quick Comparison

A quick reference guide to the different armours available in Conan Exiles originally created for my own use to easily compare different sets within the same quality tier.

This guide was created to quickly compare armour sets within the same quality tier, and most importantly, show the percentage damage reduction granted by each set. All armour values and percentages are taken with 0 agility (and all other stats for that matter), with the exception being sets that give agility (as that armour gain can be considered to be part of the equipment anyway). Temperature resistance was recorded without shelter and with no in-game weather effects or buffs, with prior confirmation that my character had 0 resistance with no gear equipped.

No assumptions were made, every item was equipped, and the details recorded from the Attributes and Stats tabs.

In this comparison, I have opted not to list cosmetic or religious sets, as you are generally not going to choose those sets for functionality or stats.

Notes / Observations

• There are no exceptional or flawless versions of the non-epic reptilian set.
  
• There is no flawless or exceptional versions of the Silent Legion set.
  
• In pure damage reduction, light armours seem to benefit the most from a higher quality, and heavy the least.
  
• Some sets do not increase the stats or temperature protection provided as they increase in quality, this appears to make them progressively less attractive (and in many cases seems to be an oversight).
  
• The Cimmerian and Lemurian sets seem to be a point behind the other epic sets when it comes to temperature resistance. Again, I assume this must be an error.
  
• Hyperborean Slaver armor swaps from heat resistance to cold resistance at epic quality and above. This is probably unintentional.
  
• Flawless Darfari Skin jumps up two heat protection points over the exceptional version, which does not follow the trend of the other armours. I confirmed all other possible influencing factors and equipped this set again to confirm no error on my part.
  
• The agility sets (ancient civilization armor feat) sadly do not seem to greatly benefit from the increased agility contributing to your armour. However, agility still grants other benefits, and armour sets are great for reaching a stat based perk.
  
• With fantastic latency and quick reflexes, obviously the lighter armours can provide a lot more damage reduction with your improved mobility.
  
• Mother of all patches claims to have made some changes to Vanir cold resist, relic hunter stat bonuses, and hyena cold resist. I have gone through all of these items again for normal and epic variations and have found no changes when equpping these items from what I already have listed (unless information displayed in tooltips and in the stat window when wearing the items are incorrect).

Thanks Eckhardt! I'm hesitant to update the guide at this stage as so much of it is no doubt now out of date that it would indicate it is more current than it is. I've considered removing the guides because I dont want to be responsible for false information, but even with changes patches have made since last year, I suspect while the numbers are off that the indication of quality and comparison is still accurate. I am more than happy to add another admin to the guide and even share my original spreadsheet if anyone wanted to update it.
