Announcement 8th Nov 2022: Mod will no longer be updated or attended to. While it has been a great pleasure to make and share this sub-mod, I have lost interest in Game of Thrones as a whole. If anyone wants to update this on their own accord, they are more than welcome to. Just give proper credits where they r due:) Thx folks

We are Immortal - House words of House Valyrison

What better than to play as a Valyrian God-like character? This sub-mod adds in a new OP immortal Valyrian family in Essos centred in Draconys.

Q: Will this be on CK3 when AGOT goes live there?
A: No, I have no intention to get CK3 anytime soon.

Godhood details:

Godhood can be attained via Living Myth trait. Trait makes you immortal and grants you the ability to make two special decisions: You can make other valyrian characters attain Godhood and transform impure Valyrians into true High Valyrians. Characters who are not nobles will be automatically raised to nobility with this decision.

Non dynasty characters of Valyrian culture group can petition to be granted Godhood (i.e. Aegon I Targeryan can become a God!). If you are playing as another character, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it is rarely given to others, Valyrison must really, really, really like you in order to grant you Godhood. Oh... you also cannot commit suicide, so choose carefully.

3 events added to get rid of incapability, infirm, and maimed once you have the Living Myth trait. This is done in consideration of long lifespan, especially with immortality. (This is officially patched on 13th Mar 2019)

As Valyrison:

As a mythological character, Valyrison starts off with a family of immortal dragon riders. County provinces in Duchy of Draconys have max 7 slots. Draconys and Howling Bogs provinces have unique buildings. If you start at bookmark 7996 a short event train will fire, allowing Valyrison to gradually become Emperor of New Valyria and force nearby Free Cities into tributary submission. Event chain will not fire if Valyrison becomes Emperor of New Valyria before the first event fires. You can still select Valyrison at the 7998 Bookmark - War of Conquest, when Aegon Targaryen launches invasion of Westeros. By then, Valyrison would be Emperor of New Valyria with Free Cities as Tributaries.

Mod decisions:

Decision added to Valyrison to revive Kingdom of Rhyone. This can be done by colonising Ny Sar. Colonising ruin provinces can be spammed early since Valyrison will start with a lot of money.

Added diplomatic decision to bed your romantic partner since I felt that the conditions for visit chamber option is too limited. New decision immediately results in impregnation if spouse/lover/concubine is not pregnant. Once impregnated, decision is closed off until your romantic partner has given birth. If you are playing as a female ruler this option works for you as well. Decision requries romantic partner to be in your court, and it is open to all characters.

Added a special decision to Valyrison to annex each of the Free Cities from bookmark 7998 and beyond. Each Free City has to be a Tributary to make this decision. You can opt not o do so, but the option is always there.

Edicts:

Imperial Edicts are now assessible under the obligations law tab. These edicts only appear if you are the Emperor of New Valyria under the Valyrian religion. Each edicts have different bonuses and you need to have specific traits to unlock them. (But since you start as Valyrison you have access to all of them lmao)

Casus Belli:

Three unique casus belli added in-game.
Dragon Tributary cb - allows you to establish new tributaries from independent rulers
Dragon County Conquest cb - allows you to seize target county without any claim fabrications
Dragon Invasion cb - invasion against any title higher than count tier, gives you the option to selectively invade duchy, kingdom or even empire, no neighbouring realm restrictions
All cbs require you to be a dragon rider.


This sub-mod is not lore based, it's purely just for fun so don't go crazy about Lore inaccuracies. Have fun!

The static portrait gets phased out whenever Valyrison or his family members gets a crown Artifact. Just remove the crown and it'll reset itself, check out Westerosijedi's second walkthrough video for this


Installation instructions:
Since steam is notorious for messing with the zip download, hopefully these steps could help you get the sub-mod going

Step 1: go to Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mod
Step 2: search for valyrison - agot.mod.mod, rename to valyrison - agot.mod
Step 3: Unpack valyrison - agot.zip, you should get a folder named valyrison - agot, leave the folder alone
Step 4: The most crucial part, open valyrison - agot.mod with either text edit or notepad and make sure it contains the following

What this does is to replace game engine's path finding to the unpacked folder instead of the zip file (zip file tends to be inconsistent)
The first three lines matter the most, otherwise the game engine cannot tally the right data together

Should there be any issues with mod mid ingame, it could be because I updated it or because of AGOT version. Try deleting the following folder and restart the game:
Documents/Pandorax Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/A game of thrones, don't forget to take out any save files before deletion
