Drop Rate of Pale Tongues

This guide goes over the drop rate of Pale Tongues and where to farm them in offline mode.

General Information and Item Discovery

Pale Tongues are a part of Rosaria’s Fingers covenant. These can be farmed at the Farron Keep Perimeter bonfire by killing the two Dark Wraiths walking up the hill to the Abyss Watchers. This guide does not talk about the pvp side of farming.

10 = Obscuring Ring and 30 = Man-Grub’s Staff

The item discovery was 360 and the items I had to boost my item discovery are as follows:

Crystal Sage Rapier (+50)
Covetous Gold Serpent Ring +2 (+100)
Symbol of Avarice (+100)
My base stat of luck was 10!
Game default of 100
Totaling to 360 Item Discovery:

Statistics

I did my own experiment/farming and these are my results:

Kill count: 38 Dark Wraiths
Time: 22 minutes
Tongues: 10 Pale Tongues
Average drop rate: 4 Dark Wraiths or 26% drop rate per Wraith.

Got Drops on the following Wraiths:

100% drop rate on host of ember.

i dont think it's soul level, because i needed to farm them and on my second run i got one, and i was only level 90-100ish

Jamesc6, the only thing I can think of is I had a high soul level (like over 200). This may for some reason contribute to a higher drop rate.

John Krieger. Thank you and yes this was all done on PC. I did play all the Souls games on the consoles at one time, but these numbers came from PC.
