Götterdämmerung and Stars and Stripes

How to get Götterdämmerung and Stars and Stripes to work on Steam without any external patches

Getting "Götterdämmerung" to work

1. First, go to your Steam Library and find Hearts of Iron III.
   
2. From there, turn off everything except for Semper Fi: Dies Irae Götterdämmerung DLC and Semper Fi Expansion DLC (see images below).
   
3. After Steam updates your files, run Hearts of Iron III and choose to run the mod Dies Irae: Götterdämmerung.
   
4. Once the game starts, you should see the following image.
   
5. Problem - If you see the image below instead, choose Custom Start. Don't choose any mission without Germany as your choice.
   
6. Error - If your game crashed, perform a "Verify Integrity" by right clicking on Hearts of Iron III and selecting Properties. Then re-run the mod.

Getting "Stars and Stripes" to work

1. First, go to your Steam Library and find Hearts of Iron III.
   
2. From there, turn off everything except for Stars and Stripes DLC, For the Motherland Expansion DLC, and Semper Fi Expansion DLC (see images below).
   
3. After Steam updates your files, run Hearts of Iron III and choose to run the mod Stars and Stripes.
   
4. Once the game starts, you should see the following image.
   
5. Problem - If you see the image below instead, choose Custom Start. Don't choose any mission without USA as your choice.
   
6. Error - If your game crashed, perform a "Verify Integrity" by right clicking on Hearts of Iron III and selecting Properties. Then re-run the mod.
