Wyvern Guidie in ARK: Scorched Earth
Par angie. et 2 collaborateur(s)
Basically all you need to know about Wyvern's in ARK: Scorched Earth. I'll include early-game rushing for eggs, and safer one using a Wyvern's trap. Also I'll say something about raising baby Wyvern's and easier ways when playing with others.

1. Location
You can find Wyvern's on the Western edge of the map, just before the desert.
The place is called The World's Scar. Its fairly easy to spot from both surface and air, and it's long enough to not miss it while flying around the Western Mountains area.

2. Early-game rush
So You just started the game and want to get yourself a Wyvern's egg asap. Ok, but there are few things you need to prepare before you can do it. And You'll most likely die.
First of all You need reach level 21 to unlock Tranq arrows to be able to knock out Lymantria, as is it the earliest flyer requiring lowest level saddle (36) that you are gonna need. Higher level taming is recommended, just to have better stats. You are gonna need some stamina to be able to leave nest with egg and The World's Scar before you die. When You finally get Your Lymantria, fly over to Wyvern's Crack, then fly above it and look for the eggs in the nests. They also glow at night, but it's not recommended to hunt them then because of sneaky Wyvern's that are hard to spot.
Here's how Wyvern's Nest looks like, on my server eggs are floating above nests, on Yours they might be in or even bit below it, but it's not a big deal.
At first time hunting eggs I recommend finding Yourself the type You want (Fire, Lightning or Poison), and picking it without crying how bad or how awesome level it is. And this is where the rock paper scissors starts, picking the egg gives You HUGE aggro, so get out Nest asap and leave Wyvern's Crack, and head towards desert. *TIP HOW TO LOSE AGGRO* If You are fast and have enough stamina, after you reach top edge of the Crack, dive down and fly just above the sand. If You did it fast enough, Wyvern's will not be able to reach You, so just fly to the edge of the desert to de-spawn them.* If You didn't managed to get out Crack without losing agro and some cheeky Wyverns are chasing You, fly away some distance then let them kill you (don't bring Your best stuff while stealing eggs, its's best to bring nothing or just food and water). Then respawn, tame another Lymantria and get Your stuff back. If You didn't changed item spoiling timer, You have around 3 real hours untill items will perish.
And then congratulations, You got Your first Wyvern's Egg. Feels nice, right? That was the harder part, now You just need to take it back to Your base and incubate it. The incubation radious is between 80 - 90 °C / 176 - 194 °F, but don't be afraid it's easy to reach that temperature. Build 4 foundations, make walls 2-tiles high and put ceiling on top of it. You can build it of everything, but ones with worse insulation of heat will be better (wood, metal, adobe works too). Put few standing torches around and light them up. Place egg between them by just dropping it and wait for incubation. Later things You need to do with Your brand new terror of the sky will be put in separate section.
3. Late-game
This part will contain using more advanced dinosaurs and is for people who are above level 62. This time we'll be using Argentavis bird and trap made of Behemoth gates. So you are more advanced now and want to get Wyvern's Egg. It's gonna be much easier now, because using a Wyvern's Trap is much safer than just picking egg and trying to lose aggro by Yourself. The only downsides of this way to get the eggs are You need to grind some resources for gates and have a good level Argentavis bird to survive few hits from the Wyvern's.
1. Building the trap
What You need to build:
7 Behemoth Stone Dinosaur Gateways, each costs 900 Wood, Stone and Thatch, that gives 6300 in total of each resource,
1 Behemoth Reinforced Dinosaur Gate that costs 450 Wood, Stone and Thatch,
around 20 Stone Pillars that all costs 600 Stone, 300 Wood and 200 Thatch, and also 2 Stone Ceilings that costs all 120 Stone, 60 Wood and 40 Thatch,
and optional but still highly recommended 1 Remote Keypad, that costs 2 Metal Ingots, 1 Cementing Paste and 25 Electronics.
This is how finished Wyvern's Trap should look like:
2. Where build the trap and how to use it
The place where to build depends on You. I recommend building it around the middle or even southern part of the Wyvern's Crack, since more Wyvern's spawn there so they can lay more eggs. I built mine in the middle, because after reaching Wyvern's stage stealing eggs and farming Wyvern's Milk becomes fairly easy. More about Milk and growing babies later.
Using it is really simple, when some Wyvern's are still chasing You afrer egg pick, aim Yourself directly to the gates and simply fly through them, Your Argie bird will fit between 2 pillars, unlike Wyvern that's gonna get stuck and after few seconds will lose aggro. But wait, are We missing something? Right, We didn't closed the doors behind Us and the Wyvern escaped the trap and possibly re-aggroed and killed You. This is why i prefer using Remote Keypad too, but if You are brave and fast enough yes it is possible to close the door behind You leaving Wyvern inside, but this contains taking additional hit from Wyvern, just fly to the end then turn back and close the doors while Wyvern is still inside. So we'll focus on safer way using Keypad.
3. With Remote Keypad guidie
Keypad requires power resource, like Generator or Wind Turbine. Since We are on the desert area where wind strenght is almost always 100%, I recommend using Wind Turbine instead of Generator, that You should know is taking damage overtime in Scorched Earth. It costs 75 Metal Ingots, 20 Cementing Paste and 25 Electronics so in my opinion good price for infinite power resource. You can also find it in Yellow(Gold) or Red loot drops. Build Yourself small desert base near the trap, but not too close in case Wyvern's that missed trap that can damage it, also build it of Stone or better resources, just for safety. Put Wind Turbine on top of it, place Electrical Wires and Outlet to release the power. Place Keypad on nearby wall, then go to Gates and enter 4-digit pincode. Now after You trap Wyvern inside you can safely close the doors behind it, but still remember Wyvern's lose agro fast if they can't reach You, so be fast enough to not let Wyvern out.

4. About rising Wyvern's
After You bring egg back to Your base store it in Refrigerator to stop it's health going down. Preserving Bin works too.
1. Building incubation room
As I said at the beginning You need temperature between 80 - 90 °C / 176 - 194 °F to incubate Wyvern's Egg, so let's build incubation room. Build something around 2x2 cube room 2-tiles high. Also bigger means better, You can hatch more eggs at the same time. Keep in mind while hatching multiple eggs, because You need minimum of 1 Wyvern's Milk for each Wyvern untill it's fully matured, so my personal advice is set timer 5 minutes earlier than incubation timer says to avoid unwanted hungry Wyvern's begging You for Milk that You don't have. I also incubate egg to 99,9% then put it back in Refrigerator to hatch them when i want. Here's my incubation room:

It's actually bigger in-game than on this screenshot, but it's just about to show You how it looks like.
I can hatch up to 12 eggs at the same time here.

Here's how hatching egg looks like. It's in Polish language cuz I am and I'm playing in my native language to see how ARK's translators are bad in translating English to Polish ;-) Anyway, below eggs icon You can see parents stats, and egg's gonna be same level. Below it it's spoil timer, but don't worry egg's not gonna spoil. Below it says "hatching" and time left untill hatch. If temperature is too low, it's gonna say "too cold". Blue bar is total incubation progress, and red one is the egg's health. To be honest I never saw egg's health going down.
1.1 Fire Wyvern's usage
Spare some time getting Yourself high stamina Fire Wyvern to tame Yourself a Phoenix, because instead of building trap for it it's easiest way to tame it. And it's fairly easy, just blaze the Phoenix with Your firebreath. After You tame it it's gonna be your Silica Pearls farm. Feed it fith sulfur, then fire fireballs somewhere and use your defecation button to gain 15 Silica Pearls each time. Sounds good, right? Actually it's easier to just fly over canyon river's on Wyvern and just collect Pearls by Yourself. But it's your call to do it or not to do it. In my opinion Phoenix is just for show that You finally managed to tame it.

2. Feeding Wyvern's and Milk details
For now there are 2 ways of getting Wyvern's Milk, knocking out female Wyvern or killing Alpha Fire Wyvern. Knocked out gives you 5 milk, Alpha 50 but You need good level Fire Wyvern to avoid fire breath from Alpha (Wyverns of the same type can't affect other Wyverns with the same type). And You can use Wyvern's Trap to safely knock out a Wyvern without risking dying. Wyvern's Milk spoils in about 3 hours in Preserving Bin withPreservins Salt in it, so make sure You and Your Argie / Lymantria have it in it's inventory while transferring between equipements. Here's official ARK Wiki page with more advanced details about Wyvern's Milk.

2.1 When get milk and when feed Wyverns with it
After Your Wyvern finally leaves egg, imprint on it and get her/him out the incubation room before she/he grews up to avoid getting stuck inside and forcing Yourself to destroy whole room.
A white timer will appear showing how much time You have untill You can "take care" of Your baby, to create bond between You and Wyvern to increase its attack damage and defence by 30%. After "wants care in" timer reaches 0, You can roll 1 of the 3 possible things to do to to get the buff. The 2 easy ones are just press "E" on it to cuddle, the other one requires taking Your Wyvern for walk, so You just press "T" (default key setting) to make it move. The hardest one is that requires having Wyvern's Milk in Your inventory, dragging it to 0 on your hotbar and pressing it to feed it. Remember that Your Wyvern needs minimum of 1 milk untill its fully matured. And don't worry, You don't need a saddle for a Wyvern ;-)

5. What else You can do while playing with others
When playing with other players (or at least 1 friend is enough), things such as trapping Wyvern to knock it out for a milk gets easier. While You aggro female Wyvern into trap, Your friend is waiting on a Keypad ready to close the door behind You, leaving no chance of escaping to Wyvern.
When in tribe with 3+ people in it, after You all reach Wyvern's stage, killing them and clearing Crack for eggs becomes fairly easy. Also I don't have to say that more people = more hands to work, so You can get resources and xp faster. When You get Yourself high damage Lightning Wyvern (which is the best for this task in my opinion), You can easily kill Deathworms to farm Deathworm's Horns to tame Yourself a Mantis, that eggs are used to create Kibble to tame Rock Elementals.
6. Other tips and advices
1. Always be prepared.
Remember it's always better to prepare longer for Your first Wyvern's Egg hunt and complete it at first run, than rushing and failing multiple times.
2. Take Your time.
Before flying to nest and grabbing egg make sure there are no Wyvern's close enough to harm You, always make sure You are gonna have enough time to grab, then leave the nest and Crack. The struggle of getting first egg will pay back later.
3. Make sure it's the right time to hunt.
As i said it's easier to spot eggs at nighttime, but always harder to spot Wyvern's. You can always remember egg's location and come after sun rises.
4. Know Your enemy.
Remember which Wyvern's can harm You and which can't after You get Yourself one. It helps while You can't lose agro and need to fight back.
5. Always try play with team.
Or at least one friend. It's much easier to work together than alone, right?
6. Don't be afraid to take risk.
As We all know no risk, no reward. But don't take this too seriously, and use points 1, 2, 3 and 4.
7. *Never give up*.
It's most important to NEVER give up. I died 4 times, lost 4 flyers and around 48 hours before I got my first Wyvern's Egg, so don't give up and learn from Your mistakes.
7. Ongoing ARK-cheology event tip, how to not lose Dinosaur Bones (singleplayer, non-dedicated server)
Those Fossil Piles that gives You Dinosaur Bones. You can make some skins of them, but after You log off server and turn it back on, You lose all Your Bones, right?
Here's a solution: Put them into a Smithy to prevent them from disappearing. It might work with other crafting stations, but knowing it works with Smithy is enough for me.

Its a great guide so thanks. But its nice to add some things.
Poison Wyverns attack will kill the rider. Dont mess with them.
Take a jerboa to know if a sandstorm is gonna happen. It isnt funny when you fly away with an egg and a sandstorm happens.
