Sin Unleashed: Difficulty & Seymour Mod Suite

        Experience FFX at a dramatically increased difficulty level. Two new difficulty mods to play through, each providing increased

Seymour's Path

Warning

Seymour's Path is to be played as a novelty. The mod contains some bugs that due to time & system constraints have not been remedied. You will likely experience multiple issues in a full play-through. Please save often and understand the dangers of imperfect gameplay when using this mod.

Having seen visions of the future, Seymour's mother became distraught at her son's corruption. She appeared to a young Seymour to recount the horrors that awaited him. Terrified of what he might become Seymour sought out those who he wronged in these visions.

It is aboard the S.S. Liki that he found Yuna and began his path away from tyranny. He must fight echoes of the future and earn his Redemption.

If you encounter windows or browser warnings, as I do, here are the steps to bypass them.

Regular Steps:

1. In the download window, click "Keep"



2. In the windows warning window, click "More Info"



3. In the windows warning window, click "Run Anyway"



4. Move the download to somewhere convenient.



Alternative Steps (if all else fails):

1. If windows prevents you from downloading entirely, you can turn off your firewall by searching for "Firewall", then clicking on "Turn Firewall on or off." As soon as you have downloaded the mod, turn the firewall back on.

I understand these warnings are unnerving. Hopefully the VirusTotal Scan and the number of people who have already used the mod are enough to assure everyone of my genuine intentions. I have had my firewall delete my own code as a "virus", windows is just wary of small developers.

Play

1. Launch Final Fantasy X HD Remastered

2. Launch Sin Unleashed Mod Suite



3. Check the boxes of the mods you'd like to play with

4. Play FFX



The suite will automatically close when you are finished a play session. Be sure to open the suite each time you come back to the game. You may switch between difficulties without consequence. You can start a new file or continue with your old one.

FAQ

General Warning: Only turn on and off mods while in-game, out of combat, and not in any menu. It is also wise to flick the mods on during the title screen, to avoid seeing anything strange.

Summoning Aeons where they are normally unavailable (especially Anima) may cause the game to soft-lock if the area is compact (e.g. Fighting in Luca/Home). Please save often in case you encounter one of these rare cases.

Yuna and Seymour share weapons and equipment, they cannot equip items of the same name. Kimahri's gear is automatically removed. The ability to sort equipment has been removed for logistical reasons.

Q: How do I unlock Seymour's overdrives and celestial weapon?

A: Consider the things most important to Seymour's life. The rest is for you to discover.

Q: Is Nightmare Mode actually beatable?

A: Sure is. Everything is tuned tightly, but with proper strategy and sphere levels, very possible.

Technical

Q: Can I use this mod if I am already midway through the game?

A: Sure can.

Q: Can I switch between difficulty mods or turn them off if the game is too easy/too hard?

A: Sure can.

Q: Can I use this mod while streaming?

A: Absolutely. I appreciate everyone who has asked, you have my full permission to stream.

Q: Can I use this on a console/Mac?

A: I'm afraid not.

Q: Can I play with Kimahri and Seymour?

A: Seymour replaces Kimahri entirely. You can remove/add Seymour by ticking "Seymour's Path" on and off, but it is recommended that you choose which character you'd prefer.

Q: I've encountered a bug or something strange, what do I do?

A: With FFX on and in-game, exit all menus and combat. Check "Seymour's Path", wait a moment, then uncheck "Seymour's Path." Finally, close Sin Unleashed. This will fix all issues with the suite. If your issue persists you may submit a bug report via comment. Please be super specific when reporting a bug (where are you, how far into the story, even screenshots if you are willing).

Q: Why is my camera angle sometimes strange in combat?

A: Since Seymour's model was never intended to be playable, he occasionally causes awkward camera angles to be shown. They don't last longer than a few seconds though.

Q: I am experiencing lag/green cut scenes, what should I do?

A: If you are lagging or experiencing green cut scenes, close all programs except for FFX and Sin Unleashed. Go into the FFX settings and lower the resolution/graphics quality. Also consider using Windowed Borderless or Windowed mode. Your GPU is under high demand, causing this issue.

hey. love this mod. will you be doing any updates? and are you able to change monster moves and the sphere grid? this will make it so much better, also will make it harder for people as they cant just farm as they would need level 3s and 4 keys to get passed on the grid. Even if your working on anything, that would be nice to know, if not would you help me make one? i have been a fan from day 1 on the ps2, i belive Pbirdman mod is cool, but i cant seem to find it and i think its only for ps2 emulator. please get back to me.

For the mod's creator : I have something to ask of you, can you release another version of your mod or another mod which is basically just a model swap Yuna ==> Seymour ? By just changing the 3d model in-battle and the voice and ONLY THAT. Because your "Seymour path" mod is full of bugs, and Seymour HP/MP are regen after each battle, his Overdrives are too powerfull, and having Anima from the start is also too powerful. I'm actually surprised that no one did this earlier...it should be more simplier to just do a skin-swap instead of all those changes. Thanks in advance !

I just beat BFA on nightmare mode. Didn't notice any enemy scaling issues but I played OSG (own sphere grid) and everyone was on 20+ sphere levels by the end. If everyone was 20 levels deep into someone else's SG path it would have been too easy.

Seems like there's a bug with the Stratoavis Area Conquest battle in the fight arena- His Paeon of the Gods attack should do 15/16ths of your HP. but instead does approximately 45% due to the fact that you are multiplying the 15/16th by 60% (leading to a lower amount of damage, rather than higher)

First of all, love the program. I think it was really well done, and for what I've done with Chimera Mode so far, It's added a challenge I never knew I needed.

However, Seymour's path did corrupt my save file. I may have done this on my own by saving the game with seymour in my party, but when I reloaded the file, Wakka had equipped one of Kimahri's armor pieces in his weapon slot. I lost my fully upgraded World Champion. After that, battles would freeze up from thereon out. I tried the tip above for Enabling Seymour's path then disabling it again, but when I did that the menus started to jumble and the entire client crashed twice. I hope this was an apt description of the issue I encountered. If you need screenshots I can provide them
