The Basics
Alright, we'll start off easy. After all you cant very well S-Rank a game that you know nothing about can you? Just Shapes and Beats is a hybrid of the sorta bullet-hell ballets you'd experience in a Shump, each pattern in time to music. In Just Shapes and Beats, you play as a square. You can also play as a Triangle, A circle, and a Pentagon in multiplayer but you'll mostly be a square, so we will focus on that. You should be able to apply what you learn through playing as a square

Now, a square is what is known as a quadrilateral. A quadrilateral is a polygon made up of 4 sides and 4 angles. Another thing to note of quadrilaterals is that the sum of all 4 angles will always be 360 degrees

Specifically a square is a quadrilateral with all four of its sides being equal length, and all four of its angles are equal to 90 degrees or a "right angle"

Now your goal in Just Shapes and Beats is to avoid the pink.

Now the pink used in Just Shapes and Beats. Now the pink used in Just Shapes and Beats is RGB 255, 32, 113, with the hex value of #ff2071

Now you've probably heard is that pink doesnt exist. There is no such thing as pink light, as the colors that it supposedly sits between, Red and Violet, are actually on opposite sides of the visible light spectrum. What we perceive as pink is actually a color our brains have made up to perceive pink things. This is false. You'll notice that earlier I mentioned that "RGB" value. RGB stands for Red, Green, Blue, and is a way of expressing how much of the colors Red Green and Blue, also known as "The Primary Colors" While its true that you cannot produce pink light in and of itself, you can produce it simply by mixing Red, Green and Blue light in a approximate ratio of 8:1:4.
How to S-Rank
Now in order to S-rank we must understand what an S-Rank is. Just Shapes and Beats, like many other games uses a letter grading system. S for not getting hit, A for not dying, B for dying once and C for completing the song.

Some games like Dance Dance Revolution use S, SS, and SSS to signify score of a perfect run, so scoring higher on Dream a Dream by Captain Jack will still award a higher grade despite both runs being "perfect" and not having any misses

Its important to note, however, that Captain Jack is a completely fictional character made by the band. This is not unlike Lukas Alexander, Governor-Militant of The Adeptus Militarum in Dawn of War Dark Crusade.

In Dawn of War, the Imperial Guard are a very range focused faction, only having a few units that can do well in melee combat. They do however, have a good numbers advantage, having squads in the double digits with 3 attachable commanders to bolster their morale, damage, or add special attacks. Keeping this in mind, you can build up a fairly massive army with a good many guns pointed at whatever you want dead

They also boast very powerful vehicles, including The Basilisk, a high powered artillery cannon, The Sentinal, a fast anti-vehicle and the Baneblade, a massive tank with 11 guns. In order to build the Baneblade you must have control of a relic, upgraded your base to Regional Command, finished the Full Scale War research and have constructed a Mars Command building to spawn the Baneblade

Perhaps the most notable member of The Imperial Guard would be Ollanius Pius. During the clash between Horus and The Emperor of Mankind aboard the flagship The Vengeful Spirit during the climax of the Horus Heresy, The Emperor lay injured, unable to bring himself to deal the final blow to his once beloved son. Just as Horus was moving in for the kill, a lone guardsmen stepped between Horus and The Emperor, standing up to the Primarch who was easily three times his size. Horus then vaporized Pius, laughing in horrible glee and what essentially amounted to a grown man punching a baby in the face, which was enough to convince The Emperor that the Horus he knew and loved was no more, and he used all his strength to conjure one final psychic blast that purged Horus's body and soul from existence

Keep in mind that if you bolster your Governor-Militant with 5 priests, you will have a tanky melee powerhouse, especially if you've gotten most or all of his wargear. These priests are similar to those that the Warframe Harrow is based off of.

Tonight the new cinematic quest The Sacrifice was released and I really have to say, without wishing to spoil it I was ultimately underwhelmed by it. I feel like we have all been waiting a long time for it, and while it was indeed a good way to introduce Umbra, but it was hyped up way too much, with both almost 2 years of teasers and a short prologue quest at the end of last year building it up to be bigger than The Second Dream or The War Within. A lot of people feel like Half Life 3 is in this situation, where even if its a good game, people will hate it for not being worth the hype.

However, I would argue that this is not the case. Most Half Life fans, myself included among them, are aware that whatever it will be will NOT be worth the over a decade of waiting. No one is really expecting it to be the greatest thing in gaming since the Nintendo 64 game Rocket Robot On Wheels

I'd argue that the wait has gone on for so long that anticipation has completely looped around. Most of us just want closure at this point, to say "I finally got to see Half Life 3 get released" Many of us will simply be happy if its just more of Half Life 2 like the previous two episodes.
Conclusion
In essence, all you have to do to S-Rank a song is not get hit by the pink shapes.

Thank you for reading, and have fun.

Very informative. I will definitely use the information about how Horus died to S rank every lever in JSaB. The most helpful part was when you explained how underwhelming The Sacrifice was in Dawn of War. Or maybe how people know Half-Life 3 will not be worth a decade of waiting because of the Nintendo 64 game Rocket Robot on Wheels. The "Eating One Battery vs, Eating Five Batteries" diagram was very helpful. Thank you for this invaluable information.
