General Tips
This guide was adapted from the guide written by Halfgild Wynac which was translated by The LxR.
All credit goes to them. Thank you for your fantastic work.
Please refer to the map created by Halfgild Wynac.
I have tried to keep the guide short, so I have not included exact directions to NPC houses.

13ventrm's general guide to daily survival is really essential reading, so please read that!

When you are doing quests you generally want to befriend the NPC you are talking to. Being rude usually results in quests failing. One of the major themes of this game is manipulation. The NPCs will lie and manipulate you, so do the same to them. Play everyone off against each other so you can buy enough bread to get through the day.

That being said, it is very easy to mess up quests by choosing the wrong dialog options, so save before you talk to NPCs.

Shmowders are arguably the most important item in the game. You will want to hoard as many as you can for the last day.
On the other hand, I did not find medicine very important. Reloading a save is probably a better option if you get hit by a cloud or a rat. I never bothered looting houses either, because you get so much money and items from doing quests.

It is necessary to understand certain terms in order to fully understand the story in this game. I have also written a mini encyclopedia (with spoiler tags). So please consult that if you are confused about who is who and what is what.

The Haruspex's scenario took me 19 hours to finish. I was also editing this guide, and I did a lot of the unnecessary side quests so it can be done a lot faster, but it is still a very long game.

Controls
I – opens inventory
Q – opens Quest menu
P – opens player statistics
L –opens letter menu.
When you see a sigil on the bottom left of the screen you probably received a letter or got a quest update, so check the appropriate screen.

Trading
When trading with an NPC, click the item you want (on the left) and then click the item you will give them (on the right). You can choose multiple items. Then click the V button at the top right. If you want to cancel, click the X button on the top right.

When fighting you want to swing before you move forward because the animations are a bit slow.

Food
Nuts -1% (save them for trading with kids)
Crackers/biscuits -2%
Dried Fish -7%
Eggs – 12%
Canned Vegetables -12%
Milk -7%
Smoked meat – 17%
Dried Meat – 17%
Loaf of Bread – 25%
Fresh meat – 25%
Fresh fish – 25%
Lemons increase hungry by 10 but increase immunity.

Play the Bachelor first.
Burakh or the Haruspex as he is also called plays quite differently.
Get used to doing a lot of running away in the early game.
If you are being chased, enter and then exit a house to lose your pursuers.
He can collect and make herb mixtures.
But I didnt really bother with herbs much in my playthrough outside of quests.
Use proverb's map to find the herb locations in town, you can find it on steam.
He can also cut organs out of dead bodies to make "dead gruel".
As a result his inventory space fills up quickly.
You can trade the organs with worms for herbs.
You can store unneeded quest items in important NPC houses.
You can buy medicines from Var the Hunchback for 4 organs each.
I usually sleep at Older Vlad's house because it is in the centre of the map.
I ran into a glitch on my first play through wherein NPC's did not spawn.
If this happens to you I suggest you restart your playthrough as soon as possible as you will not be able trade and there is no known way to fix this error.
Reputation is not too hard to handle as long as you dont kill any NPCs.
There is a Steam Achievement for seeing every play. If you want to get this achievement sleeping at Older Vlad's house is a good idea.

also for the quest Testing the Panacea on the same say, you need to talk to the inquisitor to first obtain it
Renka Sep 27, 2021 @ 3:12pm
The 7th day, on the quest The Sacrfice, the letter is not from Taya but from Capella. Capella asks you to first talk to Taya and then go to the short block.

"There is a Steam Achievement for seeing a play on the 9th day. However I do not know if you have to see every performance before that. In any case, best watch them all."

The achievement is for watching all 11 plays with any combination of characters. I think this idea that it's related to the 9th one comes from the fact that Bachelor will "normally" be unable to watch the 9th one and so 9th one remains the only missing one, which other characters can acquire. It is possible to still get the 9th one with the bachelor, by intentionally failing the main quest, watching the play, then reloading your save before your intentional failure.

Hey, thanks for the guide. There is an error on Day 10 - "Quest – Udurg".

After 'Visit the Elder and ask "who is the Udurg?"', there are additional steps.

"Talk to the Bachelor"
"Talk to Kapella"
"Talk to Catherina"
"Talk to the Bachelor"

For some reason, the quest log leaves out the last "Talk to the Bachelor". Just pointing this out for anyone else, as I got stuck on Day 10 with no apparent way to complete the quest.
