What is Open Arma?
Open Arma is my project to make lightweight-yet-versatile sandboxes for Arma's terrains, both vanilla and modded. Create your own operations, take some guns to the range, practice CQC in a killhouse, and more. Playable with up to 16 players.

What's different between the new versions of Open Arma and the legacy versions?
The first Open Arma was a bit clunky. Half-working scripts, spawnpoint bloat, and a general lack of polish were its biggest problems. The new versions of Open Arma include cleaned up and fixed scripts, removal of redundant/buggy features, removal of OPFOR and Independent spawns (these caused major loading problems and contributed to decreased performance), considerably fewer dependencies, and general touchups and polish. This all leads to a sandbox experience that's much smoother, less buggy, more modular, and better performing than its predecessors.

Suggested Mods
KA Virtual Arsenal Anywhere
While not a direct requirement, changing your equipment and gear is going to be a complete pain without a Virtual Arsenal mod of some kind. KA Virtual Arsenal Anywhere has worked great for me ever since I've begun using it and I highly suggest it, but if you have a preferred alternative you are welcome to use it instead.

Vana - Loadout Management
Combined with a Virtual Arsenal mod of your choice, Vana makes managing all of your various loadouts much more organized and painless. Highly recommended. Not compatible with the ACE Virtual Arsenal (at time of writing)

IA ACE Virtual Arsenal Anywhere
If you use ACE, I'd suggest using this one instead. It uses the improved ACE Virtual Arsenal instead of the vanilla one, with added functionality and less bugs.

Ares Mod - Achilles Expansion
Since it's likely you'll be spending a lot of time in Zeus while playing through Open Arma, the Achilles Expansion to the Ares Mod is must-get. It heavily expands on Zeus functionality and is an essential mod for people who use Zeus frequently.

Project Zenith
With such cold weather, you'll want to pack warm. Project Zenith provides ample cold weather uniforms in multiple camos and they work great for this terrain.
