Was there a certain one to delete? I searched in the Left 4 Dead 2 n deleted every file named after that (Verified the files and the mod still doesn't work)

For some reason, if you ever installed/subscribed to any particles mod that includes spitter's spit, this mod doesn't work and I have no idea why. Maybe try to deleting pak01_dir.vpk and verify integrity, that'll revert back the files to default.
