[WOTC] No Low Profile

Description
Low Profile has always presented itself as an unworkable SITREP in the late game of my playthroughs. The "skeleton crew" of enemies on the mission are usually more than enough to take out very unexperienced soldiers, and the mission typically can't even be attempted since efficient soldier rotation generally ensures that troops won't stay at the rank of Sergeant or lower.

But no longer will players suffer at the hands of Low Profile, for this mod completely disables it!

This mod works mid-campaign.

Oh thank god for this mod... i play with a lot of mods and i just got hit with an absolute whammy of a low profile mission.
All but one of my soldiers was above sergeant so i actually had to buy new soldiers to attempt the mission.

Here are the mission modfiers:

Lost

@jasonnash59, it makes no sense given the reason presented for why you cannot bring soldiers above sergeant rank, why would increased surveillance prevent soldiers from showing up to battle. maybe if it meant soldiers above sergeant rank cost a certain amount of intel to bring them along, but even then it makes little sense

Yeah, low profile missions are almost always a cluster f-ck: completely un-balanced and make no in game story sense at all.

If anyone also wants to disable surgical, here is a quick guide on how to do it.

Open DefaultGameData.ini located in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Config

Hit CTRL+F and search for "surgical".

The first one you find should be under [XComGame.X2SitRep_DefaultSitReps]

Just add a semicolon at the beginning of that line. It should look like this.

;SitReps="Surgical"

And there you go, just save your config and surgical will no longer appear. That's all this mod does for low profile.

If you've checked in the vanilla .ini files and there's no maximum Force Level variable then it'd need some SDK work. Assuming that the change is possible to do.

This mod just alters the values in the vanilla game's .ini, it's not re-writing how the SitRep works.

Is there a way to implement max force level allowed for this sitrep?

Because I can see the config file has minimum force level allowed to appear.

once had a mission with low profile that had multiple mind control enemies and also the chosen hunter showed up. having a double agent was nice because of that order but i don't think everyone will have that order.

Fun other ingame workaround. Iridar's Jetpack mod. Just equip 'em on rookies, and who all you want to beat the crap out of the enemy. Then Dymanically deploy said vets in with jetpacks, and Emergency Evac the Rooks. Bait-and-Switch.

Really neccessary, as im using improved AI, more Enemies, more Pod Activation and a bigger Squad because of that...

Multiple and guaranteed sitreps mods makes end game impossible because I have no sergeants anymore. I simply couldn't do those missions (unless quickly hire rookies for those missions alone, which ruins the economy and might fail the mission anyway). This mod is very useful.
