Description
Interlaken is a small town in the Swiss Alp. I chose it as the base for this map I created for my new Youtube series where I try to build a city that is as detailed and realistic as possible while still playing as vanilla as possible.

The map is heavily forested and doesn't have much space for large spaning metropolises, but it is perfect for creating a small city with a wealth of parks, zoos, reserves and national parks.

If you want your map to look like mine (in the screenshots) you will need the Relight and Ultimate Eyecandy mods.

You will also need a couple of map themes and the Theme Mixer mod. If you don't want to be bothered the base theme I used is the Starburg theme.

You will need Mass Transit DLC because I used the highways from it, but if you don't have it, you can simply open the map in the map editor and put your own highways.

I made my best city yet on this brilliant map. Of course, I do not play vanilla, so the problem pointed out by Thysont did not hinder my progress. Even with all my mods and workshop assets, this was a challenging map for me, but after plenty of hard fun work, I got my population up to a very satisfying 250k! Thanks SmilingNight for this map.

Very pritty Map. But you forgot to make a connection to the freeway in the starting area. Just a tiny corner is connected to the railway. When playing with progress you need 20k people to connect it. But where should they come from? Unfortunately the map is not playable as new city with progress.
