Blood Crown/Corrupted King Achievement [OUTDATED]

The easiest way to get the blood crown and the corrupted king achievement. Note that this guide is outdated and no longer works.

Method

You will need:

• A tome page of unholy travels
  
• Fireworks, a strong party, or enough warriors - a way to bypass or fight corrupted enemies.
  
• A reasonable amount of sanity

Basically, the tome page of unholy travels opens a portal to a blood spider themed dimension - the same map every time (same in 3 out of 3 trials), it contains one lizard village, one blood altar, and some blood spider-y monsters.


The dimension will always look like this

The blood altar is the unidentified location at the upper right, the lizard village is on the lower left.


On interaction with the blood altar, it will give you the option to take the blood crown from it. Note that you will instantly be returned to the real world when you take the crown, so finish any unfinished business before you do. The achivement should pop up shortly, though mod use may hinder achievement collection.

The most reliable way ive found is spawning corruption on the map and then visiting the caves the corrupted spiders are coming from. Each cave has a slight chance of containing a portal to a corrupted world where the crown can then be acquired. Even if you dont find the crown, a moderately equipped party can make huge money/fame farming all those spider legs.

According to the wiki, they have removed the tome page of unholy travels, and per my personal experience I have not been able to travel to the corrupted lands via portal traversal while in a portal. I have attempted save scumming on Expedition difficulty (expedition 3) about 52 times, no results. Then again (expedition 4) about 24 times, no results. It seems it's a 4.76% chance per the wiki, but no luck for me.

I'm totally stuck on this as well. Using the same tactics as Gejm0n. This is the only achievement I'm save scumming too. I'm going insane doing this.

I've been playing this game a lot, and lately I just CANNOT find a Page of Unholy Travels, did they remove that item in a recent update? Or do anyone know any sure way to get it?
I've been savescummin at Huts, I've been reading the Necromicon about 100 times, I've been digging up trash all around, I feel my irl sanity running out
