Alliance Of Valiant Arms - Getting the Black Rose (2018)

A.V.A. will no longer be available after June 25, 2018. Thus, I've decided to put together a guide in order to let people be able to get the spy weapon "The Black Rose" before the eventual shutdown of the game.

Introduction

General Information



The Black Rose is a promotional melee weapon for the Spy. It is a partially serrated, double-edged butterfly knife. Roses are engraved along the blade, and a symbol of an encircled rose is imprinted on the handles. The weapon has two styles: The "Baccara" style colors the weapon almost entirely black, while the "Mystery and True Love" style is team-colored.

This weapon functions identically to the Knife.

Taunting with the Black Rose equipped will perform the Fencing kill taunt.

This item is awarded to players who complete the Alliance of Valiant Arms achievement 1st One Down by creating a character and playing their first game. In addition, this achievement will unlock the Holy Mackerel melee weapon for use in Alliance of Valiant Arms.

This guide will cover the method of getting the "The Black Rose" before the eventual complete shutdown of the game.

I will cover the easiest and best method I've found from digging around in reddit and steam community forums.

• 0. Close EACH & EVERY game you have open from Steam if you fail to do so you will be VAC banned on instant if you follow the rest of the guide without doing so.
  
  
• 1. Get SAM[github.com]
  
  
  
• 2. Click on this this link and start the download for A.V.A.

• 3. Once the download has commenced, open SAM (with all of your steam games closed of course) and open up A.V.A.. It should be the first one on the list.
  
  
  
  
• 4. Once inside of the achievement section of A.V.A. check the box of the first achievement or the one named "1st One Down".
  
  
  
  
• 5. Click the "Commit changes" and a message will appear saying that you have the achievement
  
  
• 6. Exit out of SAM to prevent you from being VAC'd
  
  
• 6.5 Open TF2 and enjoy your new weapon.

A.V.A is a game similar to Combat Arms and FPS games from years begotten, I can recommend it if you have a few friends willing to pick it up and mess around within the game.

AVA shut down.
The Black Rose still exists, but there's only a few hundred or thousand in existence. I was still able to snag one, though.

TO EVERYONE WHO READS THIS GUIDE:
This won't work anymore. AVA has fully shut down, and not even SAM could help you.
I repeat: THE BLACK ROSE IS NO LONGER OBTAINABLE BY ANY MEANS.
Unless you buy a Killstreak one off the SCM, but you'd be better off buying a Strange Knife instead, really.
