Description
Brammer challenged me to do another build, this time turning his Dodge Dart into a dragster. With his permission, I bent the rules a little and used the Bullseye, his flying version of the Dart, because of its engine and rockets.

I turned every rocket into a boost rocket, duplicated the boost rockets, and put six of the jet engine from the Bullseye at the back of the car. I spent the next five days trying to get the thing not to rip itself apart while driving. Eventually I got it (it involved a lot of suspension modification) and then faced the problem of how to turn without dying. This only took about a day, because at the end of the day I realized that the yaw fans from the Bullseye were still there and didn't kill me when I tried to steer. My next problem was, it looked horrible. Truly horrible. But after a while I settled on a skin and messed with the shape of the car a little (the cabin was moved back a bit), and while I don't think this looks as nice as the ol' AC Bengal, it's the best a dragster made from a car with wings can really look while still being a good dragster and having been modified with vanilla tools only.

When you're at top speed in a dragrace, use R and Y to turn or you'll probably break the car. You will indeed need to turn at some point, because Besiege cars inevitably go a little bit to the side, which will cause you to hit a barrier on Brammer's dragstrip, which was my testing map.

Thanks to Brammer for the challenge and letting me bend the rules a little, and enjoy!

It took me a good week to get the thing to survive all the way down the dragstrip, and you wouldn't believe how fast an early version went until it usually ripped itself apart halfway down. And it basically IS a crazy garage project. I mean, what professional dragracer straps six jet engines to their car?

This reminds me of the Mythbusters episode, in which they tested the myth of a guy attaching a rocket to his car and crashing it in the desert. It really feels like a crazy garage project, and the insane speed is a lot of fun! :steamhappy:
