Introduction
Greetings and welcome to:

The Keypad and You! The Guide.

This guide will help you understand the fine concept that is The Keypad.

Because, what you must understand is, that the keypad is not JUST a Keypad.

It's a pathway to many abilities, some consider to be unnatural--

So what is this keypad you are talking about?
Good question!

Simply put, these are keypads:

Magificent, aren't they?
What are they for?
This is the part where it gets interesting. The developers seem to indicate that keypads are for opening
certain localised gateways in order to facilitate the small universes that co-exists next to ours behind it.

In other words: you can enter more areas with them!
Neat.

What you must realise however,

Is that me, an intellectual, (I am known for my intellect for I watch Jonathan Test. All you peasants out there that watch Richard and Mortimer, please educate yourselves) I know the true purpose of the glorious keypad.

Cross-SPCies (Ha...) Communication!

With this magnificant invention, any D-Class Personnel or a downright dim witted "scientist" has the ability to communicate with what we call an SCP.

Typical protocol follows that a D-Class, lets name one "Dan", finds that they are in trouble.
Now a Dan does not like this. They often lock themselves up inside one of the aforementioned
universes.
(They often have no choice, or haven't the brain capacity to find any other solution.)

So what does Dan do? Panic at first of course ( silly D-boi) but after a while, they might realise that you can use the keypad for COMMUNICATION .
Typical Protocol
What follows is a fairly typical use of standard protocol.

  1. Dan checks whether the SCP behind the containment doors hears and understands him. He does this by asking "Do you hear me, press the keypad once for "yes" and ignore for "no". "

  2. The best thing Dan can do next is establish communication protocol. Dan can do this by asking "Alright, we can communicate using the keypad like this and perhaps resolve this situation. Press once for "Yes" and twice for "No"

Note: When "No" has been replied, give up your hopes and dreams, for they probably watch Jimmy Neutron.

  3. Now Dan must state his demands (remember kids, be complete in your demands because the SCPs give no ♥♥♥♥♥. "I will play rad music with my nifty soundboard if you let me live and walk past, agreed?"

  4. SCP Replies.

  5. Profit ???

And thats how easy that can be!
Succes Rates
In my personal experience, this works 50% of the time, 100% of the time.

Of course from the SCPs point of view, they have the final word. But it is not their agreement.
Dan eventually has the final say.
Closing Statement
  • Please do not use this in roleplay servers ( and if you do, don't team up in a way that the game does not end )
  • For the succesrates to rise, we need to spread the word. So that one day, the entire facility will be filled with intellectuals.

@Thing.

Yes, roleplay servers.
They exist within Secret Laboratory. It's usually indicated in the title.

These servers take it seriously. So Commander actuall leads. No random teaming, unless advantageous.
SCPs only go for killing... etc.
