I always had trouble creating steering systems. Anything using pistons or elastics is wobbly. Trying to build something stable resulted in a really narrow steering angle. I had to discard dozens of broken prototypes before I came anywhere close to this concept. This system locks itself when you're not turning and stays perfectly straight. As soon as you start turning it unlocks itself and is free to move. This thing might not look like it, but it took hours to develop.

I'm pretty sure it's an Ackerman suspension with an extra lock (the piston between the wheels) that makes it go perfectly straight (unless you go high speeds where you need something more rigid like This ).

This is a very unique method of steering, I thought there were no more ways to steer on mooo's guide but you disprove that.
