How to get Ulric`s Kukris if you killed Psychomancer before the update

How to easily get Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV protagonist`s even if you have already killed psychomancer long ago and there is no drop at its death place.

What is it in the first place?

Ulric`s Kukris is a weapon of Nyx Ulric, who is the main protagonist of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV movie, which is a game prequel. Many people have remembered it because of these daggers, so developers decided to add a possibility to get them in the game.

How you are supposed to get them?

There are a little spoilers further, so, if you have not completed the game yet, I do not recomend to countinie reading: you will not be able to get this weapon before chapter 14 anyway

You need to get to the Insomnia palace, go throught the main gates, kill Ifrit and do everything as it shown in the video.

There are no problems with getting Kukris on the console, but on PC things are not so simple... Before the update most players did not get any drop from psychomancer even after dozen kills through saves loading. Whether the RNG system was broken so daggers drop only if some unknown terms were done, whether the boss himself and the drop mechanic were broken - no one knows for sure. People also say that the problem solved with loading chapter 15 through the main menu but in this case you lose all the hunts and sidequests progress, which, taking all the beauty of these daggers in account, does not worth it. Nearly 3 month passed after the game release and Square Enix released an update that fixes the issue but people who have already killed the boss have nothing on his death place.



Many have already despaired and forgotten about these Kukris, but the way to get these daggers without progress loss exists. Famous Cheat Engine programm will help us.

Before we start I would say that this method is only for those who have killed the Psychomancer before the update and other can get the weapon as it is suppossed.

Getting Kukris with Cheat Engine

1) Firstly, just in case, make a copy of your saves. In the Steam version of the game they are located at: C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XV

2) Load your savegame, find any vendor, save your game to a separated slot and quit.

3) Then we will need the programm itself, download it here[www.newconecptuniverse.com]. I think you will be able to install it without my help.

4) After that, download the archive with the spechial table here[vgtrainers.com], open it and drop the file to your desktop. Note, that it is made spechially for the Steam Version of the game, so if you bought Final Fantasy XV in the other store - look for the similar table for Origin or Windows Store version.

5) Open table file, launch the game, wait before the main menu loads.



6) Minimize game, maximize Cheat Engine, in the upper right corner click on the computer icon, choose the game process in the appeared window and confirm address list keeping.



7) Then click on the squares in the lower menu in this order: Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition (Steam Edition) - Enable - Scripts - Override Shop Item ID - Override Item ID, After that, click on the "No item selected" line and the separated window with the list of items will appear. Do not worry, maximize it and begin to press "U" button, so you will switch between the items starting with the letter "U". Press it until you get "Ulric`s Kukris". Choose them, and click "OK".



8) Minimize Cheat Engine, load your savegame, come to a vendor, buy any item and it must be changed to these Kukris.

9) Open your inventory and make sure the weapon is there.

10) If everything is fine, close the game and Cheat Engine. Launch FInal Fantasy without the programm and load your savegame with the gotten weapon. If everythings works fine you can ease and enjoy this beautiful hard-accessable for you weapon.

Conclusion

Actually, you will be able to get nearly every game item using this way, even those, which were given during Assasins And Chokobo festivals and exclusive, exept the outfits (there is a single good guide about it). Nevertheless do it at your own risk and do not forget to do save backups, because it is not always obvious, how the game will react to such actions. Also I do not recommend to abuse this method, because I have not noticed any other problems with items getting (exept excluise of course) and it is always more enjoyable to playtrough game in a fair way.

P.S. Comments like "Faugh, cheater, dislike" are deleted immediatelly because: a) Using this way player only changes his own game`s data and do not affect others. b) I will not call it cheating myself because game way of weapon getting was broken and the only way for those who already killed the boss to get it without losing progress is using a third-party tool. So, this is more like "bugs fixing" rather than cheating.

This also works for the Circular Saw from Chapter 2 which occasionally doesn't drop in spite of having a 100% drop rate.

I got the dagger though chapter select
But chapter select will reset sidequests and hunts hahaha
