Black Ops 2: Zombies - Pack-a-Punch Info/Guide

Intro

When first playing it appears that most weapons can only be put in the pack-a-punch machine 1 time in black ops 2 zombies. The Ray Gun is an example of a gun that you can only pack-a-punch 1 time. Many people will be upset by the fact that you can only put the Ray Gun in the pack-a-punch one time.
However, there are many weapons that can be pack-a-punched many times. The HAMR can be pack-a-punched 2 times, and actually the HAMR can be put in the pack-a-punch unlimited amounts of times it appears.

Do You Get Full Ammo When you Pack-a-Punch 2 Times in Black Ops 2 Zombies?

Any one who has ever played the game will be able to tell you that the first time you upgrade in Black Ops 2 zombies you will get full ammo. Not only do you get full ammo when you pack-a-punch in zombies, you generally get an extended clip size as well as additional maximum ammo. This is very beneficial, because when you are low on ammo you can just pack-a-punch to get full ammo.
However, when you pack-a-punch the second time, you will notice that you will not get max ammo. In fact the second time you pack-a-punch, the machine does not even reload the weapon for you. When you take the gun out of the pack-a-punch the second time, you will not see any gain in ammunition.

How Many Points to Pack-a-Punch 2 Times in Black Ops 2 Zombies?

Regardless of what weapon you pack-a-punch the first time will always cost 5000 points. However, if you are carrying a weapon that can be upgraded 2 times, it will not cost 5000 points to upgrade it the second time. The pack-a-punch machine will still say it will cost 5000 points to upgrade your weapon, But really it only costs 2000 points to upgrade your gun a second time, even when you pack-a-punch your weapon multiple times in black ops 2 zombies. The third time you pack-a-punch your gun in black ops 2 it will cost 2000 points again. The fourth time, and all the way to infinity, it will cost 2000 points per a pack-a-punch.

What happens when you Pack-a-Punch 2 Times in Black Ops 2 Zombies?

Other than the cost of pack-a-punch setting you back 2500 points for the additional upgrade, it seems that each time you upgrade a weapon in black ops 2 zombies you will be given a different scope along with no increased fire power. The new scope on the gun when you pack-a-punch twice might be a little more fancy, but might not help kill zombies any faster. However when you pack-a-punch 2 times, the gun will have no increased damage and kill zombies won't be any easier to kill, but you'll have a nice scope :)

It seems that there are only a few different scopes available for each weapon, so when you pack a punch 2 times in black ops 2 it will begin rotating scopes. The third, fourth, fifth pack-a-punch in zombies will simply begin to rotate scopes.

What Guns Can Be Pack A Punched More Than Once?

Only weapons in Black Ops II at the games present time (2025) can be paped more than once.

Pack-a-punching weapons such as the HAMR, and Executioner will give these weapons different attachments at random

HAMR can have: Vertical grip, red dot, ACOG, Holographic Sight, or no attachments
Executioner can have: Long barrel or standard barrel.

PAPing the same weapon multiple times does not increase damage except for when a long barrel is added.

It seems The Mtar, Hammer and quite a few other guns get better recoil after paping! (Double tap increases recoil) If you shoot the Mtar before you can see the horrible recoil, Afterwards you can tell its alot better! tbh my favorite scope is for the Mtar. Its the wide open scanner that runs a white line over everything. I like this because when you train at high rounds it can tell/give you an estimate of zombies. ( Helps with double tap )

you can get grip on hamr when u pap it 2x so its really worth it on some guns but not on most
