The person in the icon on the left is Saint Thomas Aquinas, who is the principal theologian and philosopher of the Roman Catholic Church. Bob Page is a Thomist, a scholar who follows Saint Thomas Aquinas. Aquinas is the primary inspiration for Bob Page in the original Deus Ex story. Bob Page always talks about Aquinas, and even names the Aquinas computer technology in honour of him.

Interesting, but if the guy in the middle in the left pic is what he's based on, the question is then who is he based on? (Cause I don't recognise him)
Side note, Page does look kinda sad/troubled in the middle pic.
