Feather Spells and Tomes

Description
Carry Weight Fortification, Oblivion-style!

UPDATE 5/16/2015: I've worked on the mod so that it will increase your Alteration skill when it is used! I did make some other changes to the spells as well, most notably reducing their duration so as to better control the spell costs. If this becomes an issue, let me know and I'll rework it.

UPDATE: A handful of tomes have been placed in the world to be found! Spells can be Dual-Cast and Overcharged with the Alteration Dual-Cast perk.

You'll have to excuse me for the rather short description I'm placing here, this is the first time I've ever created a file, and it's all new to me! :D

I got sick and tired of having to waste valuable enchant slots on armor for carry weight when there were so many other awesome enchants out there to use. Plus, I missed having the Feather-style spells from Oblivion, so I decided to try my luck at making them myself!

Yes, there are other mods out there that do this as well, but I wanted something familiar, so I stuck with the Oblivion naming convention and spell progression. It is as follows:

Feather - Novice - Increases Carry Weight by 25 for 60 seconds.
Ease Burden - Apprentice - Increases Carry Weight by 50 for 60 seconds.
Lighten Load - Adept - Increases Carry Weight by 75 for 60 seconds.
Pack Mule - Expert - Increases Carry Weight by 150 for 60 seconds.
Beast of Burden - Master - Increases Carry Weight by 250 for 60 seconds.

The spells tomes aren't littered about the world, but they are all currently purchasable from merchants who carry Alteration tomes and are hidden in a FEW places. The Master version requires you to finish the Alteration Spell Ritual first, then it is available from Tolfdir at the College.

I will work on improving this mod by adding the spell tome to random loot lists and such, if it gets a decent response. Heck, I may just do it so that I can learn how. <--DONE!

I need to update this so that it continues to work and so that it will increase the Alteration skill with use, but haven't gotten to it yet. Thank you all for using it though! I'll try to work on that this week.

Rogue don't know if you ever fixed the skill increase problem but I made this mod (exactly) for myself awhile ago for the same reason you did. Mine increases skill level. Message me if you haven't fixed it yet/can't figure it out. I'd gladly look at mine and find it for you.
(mine is for personal use and hasn't been released to the public cause you added yours before I did. Didn't want duplicate mods on here)
So yeah, send me a message if you need the info. if not, nice mod and happy modding (=

helensteev - really? I'll look into that. It should increase it! It's possible I missed something.

This is an excellent mod. But I have noticed that casting these spells, and they are the only alteration spells I use, doesn't seem to increase you skill in alteration.....

I will download that!
It will help me on not having to use "TGM" in the command console...
