What are skins pattern index?

The most important skins with pattern:

• Case Hardened
  
• Fade
  
• Slaughter

All the other skins can have different patterns but their values aren't affected.

Which skins have a pattern index?

Some skins have special pattern index, next to each one there is an indicator that tells you how much the pattern affects it's value, and what affects it. Knives skins are in order of tier (read more about tier), weapons skins are in casual order.

They are not alot effected by pattern.

Pattern Index Position

The position of a pattern is really important, the Playside is more valuable than the Backside, and a centered pattern is more valuable than an edged pattern.





Note: Huntsman and Butterfly knives always have a mirrored pattern. []

Rarity

Rarity doesn't always mean the knife is more expensive, but most of the time it can affect the value, specially if the rare pattern is Centered and on Playside or Mirrored (Same pattern on both side), Huntsman and Butterfly are always mirrored.

I know this is an old guide but the picture of the black pearl is a phase 3 max black. Black pearls are very purple. However, they do come in a lot of patterns with blue, yellow, and green in it.
