How to run tf2 on a toaster!

In this guide I'll be showing you some simple steps on how to run tf2 on a toaster...

In-Game Settings

First you should start tf2 go to Settings > Video > Advanced then change everything to these settings

Other Settings

After you've done the previous instructions go exit out of tf2 make sure you've saved/applied those settings. Then go to your steam library and locate tf2. From there right click on tf2, go all the way down to properties, then in General > Set Launch Options and click on it.



Then this will pop up



Enter in the following into the space provided

-dxlevel 90 -refresh 120 -heapsize 1000000 -high -novid -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms-nopix -nocrashdialog -fullscreen -sillygibs -dev +mat_antialias 0 +r_rootland 2 +mat_picmip 2 +mat_reducefillrate 1 +r_waterforceexpensive 0 +r_waterforcereflect

Don't forget this one step, when it says -dxlevel 90 replace this with whatever driectx version you have or whichever one you have that tf2 uses to view skins etc It actually wont show the skins if you have directx 8. But it'll boost fps because you won't see thousands of skins.

After you've done this your tf2 should get about a max 40-50 fps sometimes it'll boost to 60fps but atleast now you have decent settings to have fun

@lil fat As far as I'm concerned you shouldn't need to delete the config but just to be safe I would then add the config back.

I already have a config but it sucks, do i need to delete it before doing this?

if you want to turn to the original tf2 and tune ALL of your settings then go ahead but be advised that there's an easy solution to that. just go to
>properties
>set launch options...
now delete the words and leave it blank so that it won't process the info that's given.

@Pandastic | Deniz That's not a command its in the settings tab under mouse you just change the mouse sensitivity or what you want. Well I guess I think there's a command read something "Sensitivity X" for the console but idk
