Schiavona

Description
This mod adds the Schiavona - basket-hilted sword. It was popular in Italy during the 16th and 17th centuries.
Mod adds two versions:
1) Basic. It can be crafted in any forge (steel smithing perk needed). This version has the same attack power as steel sword but a little faster and lighter. Enchantable and temperable.
2) Improved. Has 25% critical chance, and bigger attack power. But you will need flawless diamond + some other resources.

All meshes and textures are mine. None data was imported from other games.

A beautiful sword (I am a huge fan of "Cut-And-Thrust" swords). My only qualm is I can see you are attempting a ring pommel, but they only thing stopping me from installing this is that their is not peen going through it. Youre a great mesh-maker, I hope to see more of your content in the future.

Oh my god these comments are so cringy. I just have to correct a few things...
- A Schiavona could arguably be considered a rapier, however they are usually called (basket hilted) broadswords.
- This is not a cutlass. Basket hilted and Schiavona-hilted sabres (and potentially cutlasses) did exist, but not as commonly.
- Whoever wanted this without the basket, I laughed at that.
- Schiavonas USUALLY had a brass cat's head pommel. So that'd be a nice thing to add in a remake. Even other than that, I haven't seen this (kind of weird) hole pommel thing before.
- Rapiers are not just thrusting swords. Such things exist as cut-and-thrust rapiers, as well as side swords which could arguably be considered rapiers.

Eh... It's cool, but it's pretty weak later on... besides, it's a rapier, not a cutlass..

acccccccccthuallly, because of it's thorter length and wider blade, it is acthually a broad thword

@camdon.durfee it isnt a rapier, since its blade lenght its not enough, this weapon is the war sword of the rapiers, see? this one can slash and thrust, while rapiers are only for thrusting

Easily one of my favorite swords. I have something of a fondness of practicing with a basket hilt longsword in real life, and this thing is just a beauty, and its critical strike bonus with the lucky strike ability with the imperial race tweaks makes for a nasty swordsman indeed.
