Customize name tags

This guide shows how to use the classical name tag names (e.g. #SFUIHUD_hostageid) and also how to use some never before seen ones and create your own

Plus you can keep changing these name tags as many times as you want without paying! Heres my AK renamed again:



Important notes:

• Although I've played with this for a long time, I cannot guarantee you wont be vac banned by using this.
  
• The changes wont appear on other players screens, only on yours

The How To

First, you have to buy a nametag.


Next, choose your gun.


This is where it gets a little more technical. For a mac, get to finder and click Go To Folder


Then put ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/csgo/resource into the go part


Make your way to the csgo_english file


The file is in this form:

"Name" "Value"

Now, name your gun #Name, like so:

You notice that the # wont show, but it is still there. You'll find on naming here:

Now that youve done that, go back to that csgo_english file and use command f to find what you named your gun. For example, I named my gun #SFUIHUD_hostageid, search without the #.

Now change the second part to whatever you want. You can name it whatever as long as you keep the quotes. One cool trick is to put <font color= "PUT COLOR HERE">WORDS_HERE</font>. Note that you can't just put in a color like red, it has to be in hex. Go to http://www.color-hex.com/ to find a color in hex. Here's a gun that is in the color blue
