This is a simple mod that adds viking-specific names for faction creation. There have been a few name mods like this before, but all of them are out of date, not accurate, or do more than simply add names. The intent of this mod is to focus on name generation and build on what others started.

My gaming community, the Skjaldborg, loves many things, but especially Stellaris and especially vikings. So after sitting on it for years, I have finally decided to upload this name list for all to use. My intent is to improve, expand, and update this as needed for my gaming community and, by extension, the Stellaris community as a whole.

Compatibility:
Can be toggled on/off for saved games.
Fully compatible with ALL mods.

I am no longer maintaining this mod. I recommend using the following instead, which basically adds the same thing as this plus much more:

Henier is right about this disabling achievements (which may or may not be important to some). If anyone has info on how to avoid that, please send me a link and I will try to fix it.

This should still work with 2.2, but I will update it soon so it doesn't get flagged.

Although I love to have Viking names in my game, this mod has issues with most of the human speices modification mods. I'm not a modder or anything but one problem I saw is that instead a name list, it creates a human race of which conflicts with the default human protraits, thus cause the problem. And I have used other namelists mods with no problem. Maybe you would considering fix it? I appericiate the works you put in there and really would enjoy some Viking elements in my game.
