Miravel Tel'Nar - The Rose of Valenwood

Description
=====**********STATUS UPDATE BELOW MY MOD INFORMATION!!!!!!!*********=====

Miravel is currently a "basic" companion with a unique class and combat AI suite. She mostly uses her bow, but also Dual Wields to devastating effect. This will eventually include a full quest-line with dozens of quests and new NPC's, with full voice....

Presently, she's in the Sleeping Giant Inn, in Riverwood, so she's easily obtainable as soon as you finish the origin quest.

As requested, my appearance and armor mods:

Coverwomen by mrLenski
Covereyes by mrLenski, with some restructuring of filepaths/filenames to give Bosmer human eyes
CBBE Curvy v3 Body by Caliente
CHSBHC BBP Body Physics to go with the CBBE body
Coolsims Hair Conversion(standalone version)
Apachii Skyhair by Apachii(great modder who does awesome work since Oblivion)
Killerkeo's Skimpy Armor Conversions[WIP] by Killerkeo
BBP Physics Conversions of some of KillerKeo's armors

If you want your Miravel to look like mine, those are what I use. My understanding is that Bella's faces(which are also excellent, and which I've used before I switched to Coverwomen) also work well with this appearance.

!!!!STATUS UPDATE!!!!

Sadly, I haven't been able to work on this in a looooooong time, but hope to pick Mira up again at some point, once real-life issues settle down.

There are still plans to pick this up again, fix some of the issues with her equipping dual-blades, and with her marriage dialogue not showing. There are fixes for the latter, now, but originally it was an issue on the Bethesda side with some problems in the CK, for which there are now very simple workarounds.

This character will, when I have the time to work on her again, get an entire story arc. I plan to make it a fully-realized, fully-voiced Radiant story arc all its own, that will eventually originate in a completely original interior world-space, most likely a tomb and one of many, where she will be starting a search for a means by which to rid herself of her immortality.

She will likely have custom weaponry and armor, as well as some radiant outfit selection for various situations. She will have different clothing when "at home," on the road in camps, or on the road/diving into dungeons. As well, I will be attempting to get permissions to have it be a fully inclusive mod with no dependencies from the respective owners of any custom spells or animations she utilizes.

I will attempt to use only resources from the Skyrim master files, and build all unique items and armors from scratch. That includes not only her unique items, but also the unique items and armors available to the player.

Part of the reason she was left "as-is" would be because it will be a rather large undertaking, but will eventually serve as a proof of concept and ability, to get my foot in the door with a reputable studio when I finally decide to make a jump to game design.

The story will be completely original, with multiple characters introduced into the worldspace in places where they will not conflict with any other mods.

Mira has participated both directly and indirectly in a number of historical conflicts and events, but has mostly kept to herself. Her bow - when created - will be a gift from one of the Hunter-kings of the Bosmer, as recognition of her resolution of corruption of one of the "Wild Hunts." Her daggers will be a gift from the Khajiti people, with whom she traded and dealt with extensively in her travels, having done them a number of good turns, some of which led to their freedom.

Her armor and clothing will mostly have been of her own design, and will be a combination of both hunted materials - as she is quite the hunter - and clothing crafted by herself and close friends over the millenia.

She will even be responsible for making some of the items given to the player, if they earn favor with her in her Radiant dialogue, which will dramatically affect dialogue, disposition, and even how the story both progresses and ends.

There will be multiple endings. Some will see Mira stay on her own in Skyrim, able to be found at her custom-built home in the mountains. Others will see her leave the land entirely, if she is betrayed or suitably antagonized by the player.

Some endings will see her stay as your friend and comrade, as a continuing companion. And still others will see her fall in love with the player, with multiple possible outcomes for how that affects the events surrounding her quest to rid herself of her "curse." At least one of these endings will be categorized as a tragedy, but not without its unique rewards and events. Another will be somewhat of a romantic epic, where even divine intervention won't be ruled out.

As you can see, there was a lot of thought put into how this character would be based and developed. The voice-acting will be done by someone equal to the inflection needed to make an engrossing character, and Mira won’t be doing any singing unless the lady doing it has a voice worth hearing. I won’t subject you to bad vocals and poorly-metered original songs, like some mods that will remain nameless.

She will be free-spirited but somber, hopeful yet wistful, compassionate yet unyielding. She is meant to be all the beautiful things I've known many women in my life to be, and a paradox like each of us.

Showing an interest in her will cause her to requite, with specific thresholds built in so that when you have earned her trust - or violated it - she will choose a suitable time and place(or sometimes a rather inconvenient one) to approach you with her thoughts, feelings, and concerns.

The ultimate goal is to make her companionship an organic one that is filled with personality, and allows you to suspend disbelief by always surprising you. I also want it to be dynamic, such that you can play through with her as a companion on multiple characters, male or female, and have a different experience through several passes, even if only in small ways. There will also be variable situational dialogue, based on location or Dragon/Civil War events.

I also plan to incorporate some coding - with permissions - from Chesko's Frostfall mod, to allow her to make commentary about dynamic weather conditions, and the effect they're having on the player or herself. (*Miravel, shouting over the wind* "I don't mean to diminish your enthusiasm, but there's no way we'll last in this blizzard if we don't make shelter and get a fire started! We're going to freeze out here, and I don't cherish the thought of being locked in ice until someone finds me and thaws me out!" or "We're soaked to the bone, and we should really find some overhead cover and get ourselves dried out next to a fire before moving on. My clothes are squishing in places that simply aren't polite to articulate.")

So, you get the general idea. While I'm flattered about the comments saying she's donation-worthy, I haven't set up a PayPal for donations because with what I have planned, she's little more than a place-holder .esp file in my Creation Kit at the moment.

When I do this, honestly, it's all about those who will share her in their own way, and not about me putting out the best companion available for Skyrim. If I get both then so much the better.

All my best, my fellow Dragonborn, and I'll let you know when development begins again.

[P.S.} On another note, I may go in and tweak her a bit in the near future, to iron out some of those bugs that were present with followers in the early days, when I created her, and possibly relocate her.

The Sleeping Giant Inn has become overly crowded with NPC followers and add-on NPCs with shops in the first village due to general laziness of some of the modders(no offense intended to anyone who might fall into that category, but it's true, and we all know it - hell, that's why I put her there, it was quick and easy).

Cheers,

Archangel ^7^

Actually, I've never forgotten this mod, I simply haven't had the time to work on it. Things have been far too busy and hectic for me. As well, I don't know if I'll be finishing it for Skyrim, or if I'm going to redo the mod for Skyrim Special Edition x64. The new version of the game is remarkably better, both visually, from a coding standpoint, and from a point of lossless compression of textures. It is still very likely that I'll eventually be able to complete the mod for Mira, and the story that will accompany her. Sadly, it just hasn't happened yet.

@showersteven :

If you're referring to the account-creation, you should note that paying is an OPTION, which you don't have to do.
Just read what stands there... :)

Only a few Nexus mods aren't free. Almost all are really free.

Well, as a placeholder, yes. When the mod is fully finished, you'll meet Mira in a handcrafted dungeon, through a scripted sequence, and essentially save her from being overwhelmed. That, of course, will be much farther down the line, when the mod is finished and fully voiced.

Thanks Sylera! Hope to enter The Sleeping Giant and see a Bosmer there one day? :D
