Morthal: Alva's House Becomes a Player Home

Description
I never liked the fact that, upon completing the quest "Laid to Rest" and becoming Thane, you cannot get a home in Morthal (outside Hearthfire), so I finally resolved to fix that problem by making it so the player can assume ownership of Alva's home upon completing the quest.

This mod is designed to work with the vanilla game, thus any player can use it, regardless of whether you have Dawnguard, Hearthfire, or Dragonborn loaded.

Now you can take any item from the home without it being counted as stolen or being a crime.

I made a few modifications to Alva's basement, adding in a few containers, an Enchanting Table, and an Alchemy table.

There is some extra loot in the containers, along with a copy of "Song of the Alchemist" so players do not have to go steal a copy to complete the radiant quest associated with the book. This can be found laying on the Alchemy Table in the basement.

This mod should create no conflicts with any aspect of the game or quests associated with Morthal, nor should it conflict with any of the DLC.

I hope you all enjoy this mod and find good use of it.

If you have a complaint - outside a glitch in the mod that needs to be addressed - please sod off.

UPDATE:

All the chests and barrels (save for the one right next to the main door) will no longer respawn. Sacks, as always, are NEVER to be trusted.

Are you using this mod with the original or SSE? I know this mod is broken in SSE, because Bethesda changed something in the SSE update that impacts this mod. I am not aware if the update affected the original version of the game.

I'm guessing you've likely long since stopped with supporting this mod.. but I just wanted to say I installed this mod after I completed the Laid to Rest Quest.. but its still listing items in the upper part of the house as being "stolen" if I try to take them. (and the bed owned).

I don't know if that makes a difference or not (that the quest was already completed when I installed the mod),.. but if you're still around.. I'd be interested to know what you thought and what else I might try to get the mod to work

If you are having a problem with the mod in any way, please follow these tips BEFORE you post any comments.

1. Change your load order: Move the mod up or down in the Skyrim mod manager. Items at the bottom of the list load earlier than items at the top of the list. Adjusting the load order often fixes all problems.
2. Double check to make sure you are not running any mods that would conflict with this one. Conflicts are often caused by dirty mods referencing other aspects of the game, or clean mods that effect the same and/or associated items as this mod.

If you are still having a problem after following step 1 & 2, please request additional assistance.
