Hitman: Absolution - Passive Easter Eggs!
От Suvanna
This guide will explain most of the "Passive Easter Eggs". Things like hidden objects, references to other things/games. This means you probably won't have to even go into the game to see these and are more trivial than interactive.
Enjoy reading this!

Introduction
Hey y'all!

You might remember me from my other Hitman: Absolution Easter Egg Guide which explained the more interactive Easter Eggs that let you get your part in.

This list gives the passive Easter Eggs, which I was planning to do for some time. There aren't many to list but nevertheless... here is the list!

Please leave a comment below, and rate!

I hope you enjoy reading!
The Electricians
I found this one on my first playthrough and didn't think twice about it. Now I remember.

What do Benjamin Franklin, the Terminus Hotel and Disguising have in common?

Not much but I can see one thing:

In the Terminus Hotel, there will be electricians, of whom you can all disguise as. On closer inspection, you will probably notice they are not all wearing the same disguise. There is one slight difference in all of them.
Their names.

Benjamin Franklin

Invented the lightning rod.

Michael Faraday

Invented the generator.

Lech Wałęsa

President of Poland, used to be an electrician.

Basically, they all had something to do with electricity, and are now on nametags on electricians in a game!
Hitman: Blood Money - A Dance with the Devil
There's nothing like referencing your old games in your new ones!

In The King of Chinatown, you may notice some 'party decorations' behind where the King munches down on his (hopefully Fugu poisoned) food. There are 5 masks behind him. Anyone who's played Hitman: Blood Money and the mission "A Dance with the Devil" will most likely know where these are from.

The masks.

These are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th masks. The first two in the image are worn by Heaven and Hell Party attendees. The other one in the image is the famous mask worn by Anthony Martinez (SPOILER, hover over to see): A corrupt CIA agent who sells guns and 47 is instructed to kill on his supposedly "last mission for the Agency").

"Are there any more?", why 'Yes!', there are!

In the Basement of Tommy's the Tailer's shop you'll find another 2 Easter Eggs. On the second shelf from the top, on the central rack...Oh look! It's that mask again!

Déjà Vu!

The other one, on the back wall, is a calender with Eve (SPOILER, hover over to see): A target in Hitman: Blood Money who is pretending to be a singer on the very top floor of the Shark Club.).

Nice calendar, Tommy! - The Calendar of Eve from Hitman: Blood Money.

Oh? You want more?

In Birdie's Gift, when you face off against Lilly to get back your Silverballers, if you achieve a final score of precisely 666, you will get a bonus message saying "Allan, please add more detail!". This is a reference to "A Dance with the Devil" too, as in the kitchen near the party there is a crate with a lobster in it. There is a note saying "Allan please add details". Allan seems to still not be that bright.

The message.
Developer's Names
As I mentioned in my previous Guide, here are the Developer's Names in The Orphanage level, in the Registry Book at the Reception Desk.

These are always somewhere...The Registry Book with the Developer's Names in it.

Reading top to bottom:

Zhou Wei (Environment Art Director)
Tore Blystad (Game Director)
Janus Kirk Kirkegaard (Cinematic Artist)
Martin Brennan (Screenplay)
Martin Kramme Guldbæk (Outsourcing Line Producer)
Helle Marijnissen (Producer)
Stephan Nilsson (Artist)
Mini Ninjas
Well, I missed out this Easter Egg and now I'm just gonna put it in here.
In Rosewood, in the Orphanage Halls you can find a random Ninja from the game 'Mini Ninjas', made by the same Devs, on a table.
Once you start in Rosewood, if you take your first door to the right in the hallway and go down the stairs and go through the door on the left at the bottom of the stairs, then go forwards into the room with the reddish haze at the back, on the table on the left is the Ninja.

Also, it won't let me post a screenshot but No Xylene posted one below, that I'll link here:

Thanks to "No Xylene", I remembered to put this in here, thanks!
Kane and Lynch
Kane and Lynch make their cameo appearances in 4 Missions. This is one of the first Easter Eggs you might have noticed, in the mission Birdie's Gift, where Lynch is firing his M590 12ga. The worker behind the counter in the shop also says things about Lynch and calls him "That Nutty Guy". Lynch says a lot of things, including that he "hates gnomes with a passion" among other things.

Seen this pretty mug before? - Lynch at the firing range.

Kane is in the mission Welcome to Hope, standing next to the Jukebox. He talks about how Lynch, referenced to as his 'partner', is out of town and purchasing "business equipment". When one of the nearby bikers threatens him, Kane says that he "doesn't want trouble", however if you sabotage the jukebox, 2 nearby bikers will get angry at Kane, who he will knock both of them out, starting the bar fight.

So hawt...Kane in Welcome to Hope.

Lynch is also in Dexter Industries when you trigger the Nuke Easter Egg (If you don't know how, check out my other Easter Egg guide!), you will notice Lynch in the bottom right, drunk, seconds before his immediate and very painful death.

Enjoy those women while you last! You have 30 seconds to live! Lynch in Dexter Industries.

Finally, in Skurky's Law, you can find Kane again in a prison cell. Once you get yourself to the storage room (Right of the cells), climb into the vent and have a peek through the vent that leads to his cell. He is writing a letter to Jenny, his daughter. He says he is "not remorseful or scared of dying" but "holds a great amount of regret since he will never get to know her". A gamer might notice this is the beginning of the game "Kane & Lynch: Dead Men".

Now imagine the intro to the game, but with Agent 47 in a vent peeking out.

Kane writing his heartbreaking letter to Jenny, also the introduction to Kane & Lynch: Dead Men.

Hitman: Blood Money Newspaper Clippings
Enter the basement in "One of a Kind" and on the right wall of the basement right near the entrance there are a few several newspaper clippings. They mention:
Vinnie Sinistra
Alvaro D'Alvade
Al-Khalifa
Mohammad Bin Faisal
Joseph Clarence
All characters from Hitman: Blood Money!

In the center, there is a picture which says about trying to find Agent 47. There is another article about how a woman was "brutally murdered in her home". Another clipping explains the background of Joseph Clarence, The Swing King.

The newspaper clippings.
Conclusion
Thanks for reading! That's all the Easter Eggs I know of so far! This guide completes my other guide of interactive Easter Eggs, go check it out if you have not seen it yet.

I hope you enjoyed reading this!

Leave a comment, give me constructive criticism and whatnot but most of all I hope you enjoyed.

Thanks!

not sure if this counts, but in the movie theater for the city of hope level, there's a poster called happy week, referencing an 1970's sitcom called happy days

I'm pretty sure the name of the barbershop in "Shaving Lenny" is a reference to Sweeney Todd (aka the Demon Barber of Fleet Street). I mean how many other Todd's Barbershops can there be?

So, these easter eggs basically confirm the fan theory that the Hitman and Kane and Lynch games are in the same universe? Sweet!

oh sorry

This guide is for "passive" easter eggs that don't require any interaction. My other guide of "interactive" easter eggs includes easter eggs that you need to do certain things for them to occur, such as the ice cream truck.
Foxinthesky™ 28 юни 2015 в 9:05
how did the icecream truck miss this guide????
