In this version you get to choose one of 12 jobs which corresponds a 1 of the 12 zodiac signs of astrology


After you defeat Belias the gigas there will be a license on your first board that will allow you to have a second job
white mage
zodiac sign: aries the ram

weapons: rods and few daggers and a few greatswords

armor: mystic

magick: white magick, some green

The white mage is a classic job going back to the original final fantasy, and like always the white mage is your healer. Usually, white mages heal but they can kill undead zombies, and skeletons by healing them. The white mage do have have one white magick that does do damage:holy

they suffer however in that half of there technicks you have to unlock an esper to be able to access the license also thier physcal damage and defense are not top tier

zodiac sign:taurus the bull

weapon:spears

armor:heavy

magick: some black magick

The uhlan resembles both the dark knight(souleater) and the dragoon class(use of spears and ability to attack flying) both made famous by final fantasy IV with Cecil and Kain. This class also is the one that gets to use the zodiac spear. It also can use some black magick as well the technik Shades of black, which use a random black magick spell against the enemy

machinist
zodiac sign:gemini the twins

weapon: guns and measures

armor:light

technicks:10

magicks:some green and time but you need the espers exodus and famfrit to access them

The machinist was probably made its famous appearance in final fantasy VI with Edgar. The machinist attacks from afar and the guns have piercing damage. However, they suffer from lack of recovery skills.
red mage
zodiac:cancer the crab

weapon:maces and greatswords

armor: mystic and shields

magick: some white, some time, some black and arcane

techniks: 3

The red mage goes all the way back to the original final fantasy. In this game they a larger selection of magick and exclusive use of all arcane magick.

The knight is also known in other games as the paladin also made famous by cecil harvey of final fantasy iv. The paladin is a physical fighter that can heal in a pinch.

major downside it doesn't have a potion lore
monk

magicks:limited white most are blocked by esper license

The monk is another class that originated from the original final fantasy. It is a pure physical fight who specialzes in fighting with his bare hands

main downside:no remedy lores
time mage
zodiac sign:libra the scales

weapon:crossbows and swords

armor:heavy armor

magicks:time magicks, some white and some green

i am a bit partial to this job since my zodiac sign is a libra. time mages specialize is time magic (haste and slow magic as well as float).

major downside is their crossbow are effected by weather and low HP
foebreaker

weapons:axes and hammers

most of the foebreaker abilities were use by auron in final fantasy X. they are very physical aside from the technick shades of black

The first archer i think is Rosa Farell from final fantasy IV. This class love to fire from afar and and use technicks. has all 3 pheonix lores and potion lores

major drawback: weapon can be hindered by weather
black mage
zodiac sign:capricorn the goat

weapons:staves, and hand bombs

armor:mystic and some heavy

technicks:5

Black mage originates from original final fantasy. black mages specialize in elemental magic. can be devastating against the right enemy can also learn flare and scathe

major drawback: low HP and low attack power
bushi
zodiac sign:aquarius the water bearer

weapon:katana

armor:mystic

techniks:9

magick:none

the most famous would probably auron from final fantasy X. the bushi loves big swards katana and shades of black technik

major downside: no magicks
shikari/hunter
zodiac sign:pisces the 2 fish

weapon:daggers and ninja swords

armor: light and some shields

techniks:10

magicks: protectga and shellga however you need the esper cuchulainn to get to it

the most famous thief/ninja is edge from final fantasy IV. likes to steal and use ninja swords most ninja swords are dark elemental

major downside is they hardly have any magick

I think it would be useful to people if you added counters for Stat Licenses, eg Black Mage: 16 Magick Lore, Bushi: 3 Swiftness.

Usually when I am redoing my Party's jobs the main thing I can't remember is which Job have which quantity of Stats, as I often like to mix 1 Stat-healthy job with 1 Command functional Job.
