Mouse stutters when Faceit Anti-Cheat is ON

Today I'm gonna help you to fix your mouse stutter/lag when Faceit Anti-Cheat is ON.

Foreword

First of all I don't garantee that all of these tips would help you. Probably, I didn't write another reasons why mouse lags. Or it means that your PC is kinda Low-End and you cannot fix it till you upgrade your computer components.

My friend got this issue so he couldn't move his mouse normally even in the main menu.

He doesn't speak English and because of this I decided to help him.

Let's try to find out the issue that makes your mouse lags!

1. Open debug.txt and find the app that stutter your mouse

I put this method to the 1st place because this is the most common reason why mouse lags.

1. Press Win+R on your keyboard. It will open this window.
   
   
   
   
2. Write %appdata% and press OK (or Enter on your keyboard)
   
   
   
   
3. Find and open FACEIT folder
   
   
   
   
4. Open FACEIT Client folder
   
   
   
   
5. Open debug.txt
   
   

So here it gets interesting.

As you can see on the screenshot above, Faceit blocks one of the files. When we open this folder that has been written in debug.txt we can see that this is file of Mouse Software (in my friend's situation). When he closed mouse software and deleted this file, mouse started work correctly.

2. You must run the Anti-Cheat correctly

1. Close your game that you want to play
   
   
   
   
2. Run the Anti-Cheat
   
   
   
   
3. Wait for all updates download (after downloading updates it can suggest you to restart your computer. Don't be afraid, restart computer)
   
   
   
   
4. Login to your account (if you run Anti-Cheat first time or you didn't choose "Save Password" option)
   
   
   
   
5. Wait for your Online status
   
   
   
   
6. Run the game
   
   

If this method didn't help you, let's go to the next step.

3. You have to restart your game or Anti-Cheat (or both)

• Did you run Anti-Cheat correctly but mouse still stutter? Try to restart your game.

If this method didn't help you, let's go to the next step.

4. Close all unknown apps on your computer:

As for me, I have only 4 apps that I use: NVIDIA, Realtek HD, Steam and Discord.

How to close apps on startup:

1. Right click on your taskbar
   
   
   
   
2. Click on Task Manager
   
   
   
   
3. Press on More details (if you use Windows 8, Windows 10)
   
   
   
   
4. Press on Startup
   
   
   
   
5. Right click on apps that you want to Disable
   
   
   
   
6. Press Disable
   
   
   
   
7. Restart your computer

If some programms doesn't disable, probably this is a virus. Scan your computer with Antivirus (for example, Dr. Web, Kaspersky and ect.)

5. Windows 10 updates

When Windows 10 Creative Update came out, my Windows downloaded updates without asking my permission. So if your mouse moves by itself and your Windows 10 version is 1709 or newest, it's probably OS issue. I had it like for 4 months and I killed my old mouse because of this. I re-installed my Windows to 1607 version and disabled all updates. My mouse feels way better than before.

6. Change the Launch Options

Issue can be in a Launch Options in game's Properties because there may be options that your computer doesn't support.

3. If you already have something here - delete it.
   
4. Paste this
   
   • -console -novid -tickrate 128 -freq 75 -refresh 75
   
   
   
   
5. Press OK
