How to Enable Nvidia Freestyle

Nvidia Freestyle allows you to configure custom post-processing effects on a per-game basis via GeForce Experience. You can increase saturation, contrast, apply colorblind filters, and more.

How To:

Download GeForce Experience[www.nvidia.com], click the Settings icon, enable Experimental Features, and update your drivers.

Download Nvidia Inspector[ci.appveyor.com] and launch it.



Click the button to the right of Driver Version to open a new window.

Enter the path to your Battalion.exe in the Profiles box. Default path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battalion 1944\Battalion\Binaries\Win64\Battalion.exe".

Scroll down to the Other section, find "Ansel flags for freestyle mode", set it to "0x00000004 (Mass Effect Andromeda, Killing Floor 2...".

Click Apply Changes, open the game, and open the Freestyle overlay. Default bind is Alt+F3.



You'll find settings for visibility, such as saturation, sharpness, and clarity. Effects for screenshots, such as sepia, vignette, and exposure. As well as colorblind presets for Protanopia, Deuteranopia, and Tritanopia.

Nvidia fucked up. Freestyle does not work on driver version 391.01, even with officially supported games. You can download beta driver version 391.05 to fix this, according to Nvidia.

I got it working once then it stopped working. "This function is only available to supported games". The exact same method works in other games though (League). Are you supposed to put the game path in quotation marks or not?

No FPS drops here (however i am running 2x 980 Tis in SLI)
