How to enable God Mode

In this guide I will show you how to become invincible using God Mode

Activating God Mode

First of all, God Mode cheat activation consists in editing "WillowGame.ini" file, which is located in "User/MyDocuments/My Games/Borderlands/WillowGame/Config" folder.

Inside this folder, select the "WillowGame.ini" and open it with Notepad. After that, search (Ctrl+F) for the line "bDemiGodMode=false" and rewrite it to "bDemiGodMode=true" (without quotes). Now, click on Save (in the File section, upper left of screen) and close it. Start Borderlands.

Congratulations, you are imortal!

Deactivating God Mode

Open the "User/MyDocuments/My Games/Borderlands/WillowGame/Config" folder.

Select the "WillowGame.ini" file and open it with Notepad. Search (Ctrl+F) for the line "bDemiGodMode=true" and rewrite it to "bDemiGodMode=false" (no quotes). Now, click on Save (File section, upper left of screen) and close the file.

Notes

• You should have noticed (after reading the file name) that God Mode is actually a Demi-God Mode. It receives this name because your character will still have the shield depleted and will still lose health, but you won't die because your health will stop at a minimum of 1 hp.

• You will still get respawned from jumping from great heights

• You can die in the "Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot" DLC, if the "Vampire" Rule (when your character's health constantly diminishes, but can be refilled by killing an enemy) is active in some wave. It may drain your health below 1 hp, making you crippled and, consequently, dead.

• With this cheat, you will still be able to obtain achievements (Not 100% sure, but I was able to unlock the Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot's achievements while using this mode)

• Some uses of this cheat includes: Get past the annoying "Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot" DLC; Defeat tougher bosses (In special, Crawmerax The Invincible) ou simply do a "kill them all" gameplay.

• I don't know the effects of this cheat on multiplayer, so I advise NOT using this in coop games to avoid incompatibility issues.

• YES, THIS IS A CHEAT, IS UP TO YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS TO USE IT OR NOT!

This being obsolete is false. This way works for GOTY not enhanced, hence the Willowgame file.

I did it today and it still works never less the 1 HP. However, the name of the ini file has changed to "DefaultGame.ini" instead of the "WillowGame.ini" mentioned above.

This does still work. However, you may need to set the file as read only. I just tested this today and worked just fine. I made the file read only immedately so I didn't test without setting to read only.

This doesn't work. I've done it on my PC version and it's not working at all, even just in solo (single player) mode.
