Pennsylvania Railroad H21 Hopper

Beskrivelse
The H21 was an early hopper car with clamshell doors. After multiple refurbishments, some continued to see service into the Penn Central era, 60 years after they were built.

This item contains two PRR skins, one Norfolk & Western skin, and one Penn Central skin. The late PRR and PC skins have a higher capacity to reflect modifications which were made to this class in the 30s and 40s.

Stats for Nerds:

Introduced: 1912, 1950, 1968 (PRR + N&W, PRR II, and Penn Central, respectively.)
Capacity: 50/4 = 12(ish), 70/4 = 17(ish) for the later cars.
Max. Speed: 45 MPH
Weight: 22 tons

I just wanted to apologize. I probably should have asked for your permission to change your mod before asking how to do it. Anyway I ended up making the video without changing the wagons from this mod. If you are interested in seeing your wagons in action here it is

you could duplicate the level 4 coal mesh, swap the material, and add it in as the iron level 4 mesh, but i mean if you actually loaded the car to the level with iron ore where it could be seen over the sides, you'd bend the frame to hell and have to scrap the car

Thank you for the response.

I'm getting ready to make a video using cockpit mode and my iron ore trains all look empty. Is there anything I can do by editing my local mod files to make the cars look full when carrying ore? If displaying ore doesn't work than maybe display something like coal. I'm familiar with Lua so all I would need to know is what needs changed.

@general tso this is intentional; iron ore is much denser than coal so the car cannot be loaded to the same level

generally IRL you'd get two scoops from the hulett unloader, one over each truck, and then the car would be at capacity

Thanks again for the great mod donoteat. I've been using it on a regular basis but I have one request. When hauling iron ore the wagons do not display the proper cargo. When in normal view the wagons appear mostly empty with a small amount of ore at the bottom of the car. When in cockpit view the cars appear empty. Coal,Stone, and Slag look OK. The only problem appears to be with iron ore.

I would like to increase the capacity and speed of the wagons.
