The Build
This is the first adventure of ours. We started with a small block and have expanded a lot since then. I didn't screenshot really any at first because I didn't know how addicted to this I was going to become. The satisfaction of solving problems, making sysems work together, and playing together really got me hooked. I haven't been this addicted to a game in quite a while, and I have a bunch. I am running a dedicated server on my computer, and we try and play as much as we can. We are always looking for suggestions though.

I will add more details to this later. But here is where we are and what we've done. If you guys have any questions or comments, please feel free to add them.

He died since we don't have working airlocks yet. Not sure if our building is too big, but our internal pressure will get to 50+ from using oxites, but never high enough to seal and open the airlock doors. More tinkering will be involved with this.

We started expanding the solar lane out further. I think we currently have 8. This was us getting ready to prep the wiring.

My first attempt at getting auto solar working. I'll probably add a different one later. It's not the perfect 500, but it works enough for what we need.

The wiring from the solar panels into the house.

This is the wiring by the airlocks / by the door..

We took an approach to have levels between each floor. This way, with the frames, we can have things attached to the ceilings if we want. Like lights! Also, a HUGE benefit of this for us has been that once we attached the walls to the frame, we can then hollow out the walls if we need to get down and rewire things. In a sense, it is a crawl space that has been so incredibly nice.

Almost finished with the bottoms. This is after we added the walls to the frames on the roof and floor.

This was upstairs at the time. But this is pretty much what we had downstairs and once we expanded our original block, what the top looked like. It's been updated since.

Another first floor look.

Outside after we added the deck and grating everywhere.

Front porch!!! It needs a light.

Front of the house before paint!

Expansion of the back porch to add two main batteries and paint to the furnace, batts, box, and solar lights.

Side shot.

What the paint looks like. Not finished yet.

Inside the crawl space above the first floor. This is my attempt at trying to wire in a light switch to the first floor lights, but I'm having problems with it competing with the auto solar right now. I wish that the batch writers could write to relabeled items, but I don't think this has been implemented yet.

Second floor before the finish.

Second floor after the finish. We are going to add food processing up here I think. Not sure yet.

Overlooking the back deck where the energy production is.

So this is what we have now. Hope you guys like it, and maybe it gave you some ideas. We are planning to add food production, I think and underground gas and oxygen reproduction setup that will link into the house, and definitely a way to breathe in the house because something still isn't closed.

Enjoy guys and gals!!

Questions asked of us:
"Did you mine all the resources?"
Tips, Tricks, and Questions
Tips:
1. Going to add in a light switch example here.

Tricks:
1. Noticed the other day that you can create a stack of items of a specific color by dropping one, painting it, and then picking it back up into the stack. For example, I found this out by using regular cable. I dropped one, painted it black, and picked it back up, and the entire stack it went to turned black. Although it would only save you like an iron or so, it's a quick way to build colored cable without painting every piece.

Questions:
1. "Did you mine all of your own minerals"
Yes, we mined everything. We built several mining belts and took 3-4 each, and went out and mined a particular mineral. The first time was iron, because to build most of that stuff required soo much iron. We filled all the belts and came back with roughly 3k iron. Still have a bit of it, though I think to finish the bottom it will require more.

This is not a guide, it's a discussion topic.

very nice build outline! For your first adventure, you had some pretty advanced planning, like hiding wiring, etc.

@Biostar Ten - Thanks! It was fun. We took a break for a few days, but I think we will get back to it this weekend. We already started the underground area, which is coming along.

@Kortak - Yes, we mined everything. I'll add your question to the bottom so people can see, but to answer you, yes we mined everything. We built several mining belts and took 3-4 each, and went out and mined a particular mineral. The first time was iron, because to build most of that stuff required soo much iron.
