Note: There have been look-a-like copycat guides popping up. If it's not labeled by THN (The Horror Network), it's NOT one of mine and therefore not up to the quality that I aim to provide.

Welcome to the Quantum Break achievement guide.

For this title, the achievements are relatively easy and straightforward; only a couple will require even a small amount of work. There are a lot of collectibles, difficulty does affect achievements, and there is a Chapter Select option for the choices. Ultimately, only one playthrough is needed, but it can be split in to two if so desired.

I highly recommend using one playthrough; Hard Difficulty, while picking up all collectibles, that way you can grab the upgrade points as you go, making your playthrough easier.

Do not skip ANY cutscenes on your first playthrough, or else you will void some achievements.

You were there when time broke.
Story related, cannot be missed.

Mysterious Stranger
You met Beth Wilder, who could've shot you… but didn't.
Act 1 Part 2. Make sure you don’t skip the cutscene.

Hold on to Your Hope and Burn
Complete Act 1.
Story related, cannot be missed.

Manufactured by William Joyce
You found Will's original time machine.
Act 2 Part 3. Make sure you don’t skip the cutscene.

Not a Friendly Invitation
Complete Act 2.
Story related, cannot be missed.

Something Fashionable
You got the chronon harness for Beth.
Story related, cannot be missed.

You're Coming With Us
Complete Act 3.
Story related, cannot be missed.

Toto
Beth told you about how she met herself.
Act 4 Part 2. when looking at the time machine, head to the far right double-doors marked "TOILETS." Turn right then go left, you'll see a mural painting on the wall. Interact with it. Make sure you don’t skip the cutscene.

Then We'll Die Finding Out
Complete Act 4.
Story related, cannot be missed.

Take That Trip
You entered the time machine.
Act 5 Part 1. Make sure you don’t skip the cutscene.

The Countermeasure
You finally got your hands on Will's Countermeasure.
Act 5 Part 1. Make sure you don’t skip the cutscene.

Last-Second Rescue
You managed to get to Will in time... on the second try.
Act 5 Part 2. Make sure you don’t skip the cutscene.

Your Exceptional Qualities Are Obvious
Complete Act 5.
Story related, cannot be missed.
Difficulty Related
Time Bandit
You need to complete the game on Easy Difficulty.
Complete the game on Easy Difficulty. These achievements stack.

Time Cop
You need to complete the game on Normal Difficulty.
Complete the game on Normal Difficulty. These achievements stack.

Time Lord
You need to complete the game on Hard Difficulty
Complete the game on Hard Difficulty. These achievements stack. This mode is not terribly difficult at all, but if you are having problems make sure to utilize all of your abilities. Avoid sniper fire as they are instant-kill shots. Make sure that you're following the collectible guide to obtain all of the upgrade points, and upgrade your abilities right away. Also try to avoid hiding behind any cover that is breakable.
Choices
Iron Fist
Paul chose the Hardline path for Monarch Solutions.
At the end of Act 1, during Junction 1, choose the first (left) option. After unlocking the achievement, enter the menu and reload your checkpoint. Now choose the opposite option.

The Soft Touch
Paul chose the PR path for Monarch Solutions.
At the end of Act 1, during Junction 1, choose the second (right) option. After unlocking the achievement, enter the menu and reload your checkpoint. Now choose the opposite option.

You and Me
Paul chose to concentrate on his personal connection with Jack.
At the end of Act 2, during Junction 2, choose the first (left) option. After unlocking the achievement, enter the menu and reload your checkpoint. Now choose the opposite option.

Bigger Fish to Fry
Paul focused his energies on Monarch Solutions and his plan.
At the end of Act 2, during Junction 2, choose the second (right) option. After unlocking the achievement, enter the menu and reload your checkpoint. Now choose the opposite option.

The Right-Hand Man
Paul decided to trust Martin Hatch.
At the end of Act 3, during Junction 3, choose the first (left) option. After unlocking the achievement, enter the menu and reload your checkpoint. Now choose the opposite option.

The Doctor
Paul decided to have faith in Dr. Sofia Amaral.
At the end of Act 3, during Junction 3, choose the second (right) option. After unlocking the achievement, enter the menu and reload your checkpoint. Now choose the opposite option.

Rational Thought
Despite the pain and turmoil within, Paul remained rational and in control of his faculties.
At the end of Act 4, during Junction 4, choose the first (left) option. After unlocking the achievement, enter the menu and reload your checkpoint. Now choose the opposite option.

Paranoia
Paul chose to give in to his rage and paranoia.
At the end of Act 4, during Junction 4, choose the second (right) option. After unlocking the achievement, enter the menu and reload your checkpoint. Now choose the opposite option.
Collectibles
While I will list all achievements for the collectibles first, please refer to the video guides at the bottom of this section. They detail all collectibles in order. I did not create these video guides.

Marketing Spiel
Sit a spell, take in Paul's presentation at the University.
Act 1 Part 1. After the elevator ride with Paul, you will see a projection screen. Walk to the front seat and interact with it to sit down and watch his presentation. THIS COUNTS AS A COLLECTIBLE.

A Link To The Future
Locate 1 Quantum Ripple and 1 Intel Item.
This will come with natural collectible progression.

Tossing Stones in a Pond
You need to trigger all Quantum Ripples
Refer to the below video guides.

Media Baron
You need to find all Emails, presentations, TV Shows, Radios And Posters
Refer to the below video guides.

Knowledge Is Power
Locate all of the Intel Items.
Refer to the below video guides.

Time Master
Complete all of Quantum Break.
This requires you to have a 100% timeline; all ripples, intel, emails, presentations, TV shows, radios, and posters must be found/triggered. You are also required to have unlocked all ability upgrades. You will obtain this achievement after the final boss battle if you meet the criteria.





Upgrades
Chronon Surge
Upgrade a time power.
You will get your first upgrade point in Act 2 Part 1. Use it to unlock your first ability upgrade.

Stop & Go
Fully upgrade Time Stop or Time Dodge.
You will need a total of 11 upgrade points to fully upgrade either one of these. There are just enough upgrade points in the game in order to max out all abilities. You will get this with time, or you can focus on it early.

Such Upgrade
Fully upgrade all your time powers.
You will get this if you're following the collectible guide.
Misc.
Spreading Ripples
Watch a show episode with all of the Quantum Ripples unlocked.
If you're following the collectible guide, you will receive this as you're watching the live action video at the end of Act 1.

Everybody Gather Around
Kill 3 enemies with a single Time Blast.
Easiest done in Act 2 Part 1. There are three enemies grouped together, and the game will even tell y ou to use Time Blast on them.

Personal Space
Deflect 200 bullets with the Time Shield.
Another really easy one. Just activate Time Shield whenever possible. You'll deflect incoming bullets, and the shield will have yellow cracks in it when it's hit.

One Foot in Front of Another
Time Rush for a total of 100 meters.
This achievement requires no effort. Once you gain the ability in Act 3 Part 1, use it when you're told to and whenenver you have the extra time. It should come by the end of the act.

Focus. Aim. Pull.
Get 10 head shots while using Dodge Focus.
Use Time Dodge, aim for the head, pull the trigger. It should come rather easily.

Frozen Lead
Use Time Stop to stack a total of 1000 bullets.
The number seems daunting, but it's easy. You can either get this the natural way by using Time Stop on enemies, and firing off as many bullets as possible, or you can just repeatedly spam Time Stop in a non-enemy area and fire off bullets into it.

Daylight Saving Time
Time Stop one hour's worth of accumulated time.
Simply use Time Stop as much as possible. It doesn't seem to take that long, so it doesn't appear to be based off real-world time.

Area Effect
Kill 15 enemies with environmental explosions.
This one can be a bit tricky, as enemies are not easily lured into situations. However, in Act 5 Part 2 there are a ton of explosive canisters and a lot of enemies coming in all directions. If you don't get it by the time you're on your last enemy, just reload your checkpoint and repeat.

Break All Their Toys
Destroy 15 enemy chronon harnesses.
Enemies that are wearing Chronon harnesses are unaffected by time stutters. You can destroy the harnesses the hard way, by shooting them while the enemies run about, or you can take the easy road. Simply Time Dodge toward them, activate Time Shield, and this will knock them to the ground; in turn granting you time to shoot the harness off.

This guide is considered COMPLETE - not quite yet! Could you please tell me, if someone started his first playthrough on Normal, but misses some Collectibles and finishes the game, then what will happen when he wanted to start a New Game on Hard? Does he need to collect ALL the Collectibles over again, like when starting the first time? Or does the game somehow remember the progress (in Timeline) from the first playthrough?
