A short and simple tutorial on how to disable the fps locking in Mirror's Edge

Probably many of you have discovered that the game has an FPS lock, regardless of any in-game setting, which is the default FPS lock of Unreal Engine 3 (the engine of the game). The lock is at 62fps so the game doesn't let FPS go above 62.

And nope, that's not Vsync, so before making any modifications, make sure Vsync is turned off.

Instructions

First, go to:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config

There you will find a TdEngine.ini file.
Open it in a text editor like Notepad. There you will find a line that says:

bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE

Here, change TRUE to FALSE, and save the file!
Launch the game and you are good to go. It will run at the highest framerate possible.

Perfectly works and does not cause any bugs. Things to note:
- The file is best set to write protected.
- Settings changed after write protection is applied will revert on restart.
- I play WITHOUT Vsync, which is probably the reason I don't get any bugs.

Hey, just so you all know, this is really important, this creates numerous bugs and will completely softlock you in mission 9.

If you're having issues with the game, you need to play at god's given fps of 62.
