I just found the real Canton Cafe while doing an errant search of Charlottetown, and was reminded of this as I had forgotten it was there.
Despite being a city-slicker kid from California, I've taken up a fascination of PEI on account of writing a story about a catastrophic pandemic (idea is genuinely from 2018) that, among other things, results in Charlottetown being the capital of Canada 200 years from now. (think Stand Still, Stay Silent if that's familiar to you.)
I've told a Canadian I know about this, but on virtue of them being from Halifax lacks PEI experience.
