100% achievement guide for all you mad hatters! (NYAKUZA METRO UPDATED)

If you love this game as much as I do and want to go just that little step beyond, then this guide might help you.

Introduction

This guide will not go over relics or timerift locations

Welcome! This is my first guide and I will try to make it a good one. I hope this guide will help yer peck necks! Oh and sorry for the weird order of the achievements. I took them as they popped up under the achievement section on steam. I hope I'm not way to late making this type of guide.

Put a badge on it

You get this for buying a badge from the vendor and equipping it. Easily done for the player who wants upgrades or the player who has played enough to unlock the hook (I assume you have done this)

Sequence break

You get this for completing welcome to mafia town (chapter 1, act 1) without seeing the girl with the mustache. You have to run up the wall to the left and jump down to the plaza thing the mafia has going on.

No time to explain

You get this by completing train rush (chapter 2, act 4) without picking up time bonuses or dying. If you don't have immense skill with the sprint hat you should consider doing this with the time stop hat. Oh and it seems like you are not allowed to fall and take damage from the ground either, so watch out for that.

Fan-tastic!

You get this by going up the slide in your spaceship and then using the hook on the fan.



You need the ice hat for this:










Now just grab the fan with your hook:

One punch

No I'm not gonna make a one punch man joke. You get this by killing any boss with the 1-hit hero badge equipped. Note that the boss in chapter 1, act 2 or in the Snatcher fight in chapter 3, act 6 will not give you the achievement. I really wish they did though.

If I fit, I sit

You get this by sitting 3 different places. You can do this in your spaceship. In the main room there's a pillow in front of the TV, the chair in front of the window and a chair in the bedroom.

360 no-feet

Unleash your inner stuntman and buy the scooter badge from the vendor. When you are all geared up and ready to dance with death, find a place worth risking your life from. Since this game doesn't allow you to actually flip, use WASD to do a spin instead. I recommend the highest point in mafia town as the easiest point to jump from.

If you for some reason don't know how to get there, start chapter 1, act 7 and look to the right:










Now get ready to do your leap of faith:

Mafia town - all clear!

For this you need to get time pieces from 7 acts and 3 time rifts.



It's gonna look something like this when you are done:

Subcon forest - all clear!

For this one you need to get time pieces from 6 acts and 3 time rifts.



When you are done it's gonna look something like this:

Battle of the birds - all clear!

For this one you need to get time pieces from 6 acts and 3 time rifts.



When you are done it's gonna look something like this:

Alpine skyline - all clear!

For this one you need to get time pieces from 5 acts (which is places you have to discover in free roam) and 3 time rifts.

Secret intruder

To get this achievement you have to go full metal gear solid and complete chapter 2, act 1 without being spotted AT ALL. You are not even allowed to be spotted for a split second even if it doesn't catch you. This achievement made me wish that this game had a retry button which they added after i got the achievement :C. Note that the ice hat makes it so they wont notice you when activated (I just think its a bit of a hassle to use it though.)

True detective

Ok Sherlock it's time to solve some crimes. You get this one if you find every single suspect choice in chapter 2, act 2.

You should have the achievement by now, but I obligate you to confess your crimes:

False detective

Time to be the filthy internet users we are. Do NOT pick up ANY clues whatsoever just like you would do on the internet. Complete chapter 2, act 2 like you usually would but skip all the clues. So... who dun it?

Vacuum vandal

The unwritten rule of any game: If there's a vacuum cleaner, you get an achievement for riding it. Jump on top of the little fella living in your spaceship, stand on it for a few seconds and you should get the achievement.

Ride till your hearts content!

Afraid of water

After you have made it to the well in chapter 3, act 2 there's a room which at one point water will start to rise. Climb to the top without touching said water. You can touch the little water puddle at the bottom though before the water starts rising, but as soon as it start rising you are not allowed to touch it.

Slip 'n slide

This is an achievement I'm certain you already have, but if you somehow don't, then get over to the slide located in mafia town and use it!


I would take the big one if were you.

The floor is lava

Complete the lava cake thing located in chapter 4 without touching the lava/floor. Any other type of damage should be fine as long as its not from the ground.

Encore!

Complete chapter 2, act 5 without touching the floor which is made of penguins. This achievement is basically the same as the floor is lava and afraid of water.

Take a hike

Climb to the top of the tree located in chapter 3. You have reached the top when you stand on the giant blue mushroom.



AKA climb this thing:

Pillow fort

In the bedroom there's a huge pile of pillows. You can see a beam of light coming from the ocean of pillows. Equip your ice hat and use its ability on the beam of light. You will then see yourself standing inside hat kids secret hideout. You can then read her diary which changes its content based on what mission you have completed.

Badge master

Buy the 2 badge pins from the vendor. If the vendor isn't selling any badge pins just buy badges until the pins pop up. When you have the pins equip 3 badges to get the achievement.

A series of unfortunate events

Knock all 5 mafia members off the ledges they are sitting on, like you were playing dark souls. I recommend doing this in act 7.

Personally i prefer the air

Jump attack 5 enemies in a row without touching the ground. The easiest way to do this is by going to the lava cake thing in chapter 4 and on your way there you will find a line of spiders that should be fairly easy to jump from one to another.

The spiders are gonna drop down while you are doing this so you are going to be jumping like this:

Return home

For this achievement you are going to collect every time piece in the game. To get every time piece you have to complete every act and time rift in every chapter. There's 40 time pieces in total.

Fueling the feud

Perform well enough in chapter 2 to get 2000 points combined.

Let there be light

If you have actively played the game for more than 30 minutes you should have this. So I'm not going to help you. (mostly because i can't remember how I got it)

Why

Write any swear word into your computer or to the birds on the train. I tried writing porn as the first thing, but it didn't give me the achievement. In conclusion you can't just be filthy you have to swear. F*ck is usually the safe choice and the clear winner in any swear word contest (unless PECK is what you fancy because that word works too.)

Unlimited Possibilities

The first of the modding achievements!
To get this you need to go to the steam workshop, find a thing you like and subscribe to it. ((I would plug my youtube right now if i had one)(Maybe i will someday)) When you have done that go to the menu of the game and press the "mods" button and fool around with it:

Community Contributor

Help a brother (or sister) out and rate their workshop level. To get this you need to subscribe to a workshop level and play it through to the end where a screen will pop up and you can rate it. To play the levels go up the slide in your spaceship and talk with the mafia guy that somehow found his way into your sacred palace.
Note that it has to be a level you rate and you have to play it to the end.

The Community Thanks You

To get this one you need to collect 30 rift tokens. You know those shiny coin things that i neglected to mention in this entire guide. Some of the levels you can download from the workshop is gonna give you one when you collect a timepiece. Note that rift tokens inside the levels are not going to count. Play lots of levels!

Prepare to Die

The first seal the deal achievement.
To get this achievement you have to complete a death wish (the snatcher contract challenge thingies) with all bonus objectives completed as well.
I recommend this one because it is pretty easy:

Punished Kid

To get this complete 70 death wish stamps. The death wish stamps are basically every. single. thing. Even the bonuses.

I Refuse To Die!

This is basically the same as the last achievement except you have to complete ALL the death wish stamps. The name of this achievement is not for fun. If you have this achievement you definitely have the resolve of a person refusing to die.

The Arctic Cruise - All clear!

To get this you have to fully complete the new chapter. This includes 3 acts and 2 time rifts. (The relics you need to unlock the second timerift can all be found in act 1 btw)

Little Help From My Friends

To get this you gotta collect 3 time pieces in co-op mode. The time pieces you collect has to be a time piece you havent already collected once before. Time rifts also works for this. This achievement is really tricky if you dont have any friends to play with (like me ;~;). But i found the ultimate solution.
Step 1: connect your controller.
Step 2: Play some time rifts or acts you havent completed. If you already have completed everything then use your second save file.
Step 3: Make it to the end of the level on your own but before you pick up the time piece put on co-op mode and then pick it up.

Minimum Shippable

To get this you have to complete chapter 6, act 2 without upsetting the captain guy. The longer you take doing your tasks the angrier he gets. The only tips i can really give you on this one is: use the sprint hat. Get to know the map. Have fast fingers.

A Work of Art

Show your artistic skills and put atleast 10 different stickers (that you collected throughout the levels) on a screenshot (that you took with the camera badge).
This is how I got it:

Stickin' Star

Collect 30 of those shiny picture things also known as stickers. They should be easy to find in the nyakuza chapter. I don't really have any tips for this one except go get exploring!

Stick It To The Man

Collect a holographic sticker. It is basically just a more shiny version of your already shiny sticker. The stickers spawn randomly after collecting a time piece. You can use the relic locater badge thingy to show you the way to these stickers.

Culinary Creativity

Go to one of the many food stands in the nyakuza chapter and discover a food combo. There are several different combos all of which only consists of 2 different things. My favorite combo is the dessert combo. Nothing like eating a sugary cake and then washing it down with a sugary drink. It is also a fast way to get diabetes.

Nyakuza Metro - All clear!

Collect all the time pieces in the nyakuza chapter. There are 10 different time pieces total and it is going to look something like this when you are done:
Sidenote: If you don't get the achievement immediately then you need to recollect an already collected time piece in the chapter.

Life of the Party

Grab a friend or stranger and play an act where you finish in the lead. To do this you are going to need the most points. You get points by collecting pons and the time piece itself.

Party Planner

Be in a game of 10 or more players. This sounds almost impossible. I mean who even has that many friends to play with? But fear not! Strangers are also allowed. Change your party name in the online settings to something that a lot of people are using. It seems like a lot of people are roaming around the party named 1 but I completed this by joining the party named: 123

Party Animal

Collect 10 time pieces while playing in an online party with someone.

Challenge Road

Complete the challenge road thingy. It can be found in the mailroom up your slide in the spaceship. Talk to the mafia guy and complete the community maps!

End

In regards to 'Minimum Shippable' (No upsetting the captain with tasks), the Time Stop hat (with the Fast Hatter badge, of course) actually works far better than the Sprint hat in personal experience, and it should be simpler in execution due to going at slower speeds.
Though Sprint works well enough for the achievement, found the Death Wish contract to be much easier if utilising Time Stop instead and the same likely applies to the base game.
