You can terraform in reverse way if you are riftborn or have their features in your custom race.

Are you able to terraform in reverse order like in ES1? I can't seem to see that as an option... maybe there is a mod?

Basically, Atoll is good for fresh to mid growth system and Ocean is for mid to finish. Forrest and Terran are in between the two. The difference on those are flip flop of Industry and Science. Thanks for the chart.
