DLC Combat Simulation Achievements

Guide to show you how to complete the Combat Simulations on I Am Death Incarnate and unlock the Expert and Medalist achievements in The Freedom Chronicles DLCs Episode 1, 2 and 3.

DLC1 - Station Omega (Laboratory Expert)

Difficulty: I Am Death Incarnate
Achievement: Laboratory Expert

Note that final score and medal don't matter for the achievement.

I find it easy to simply make enemies aware of my presence at the start point and then shoot the walls or the floor to lure them to me. They all come eventually for easy kills. This is certainly the easiest simulation in this DLC.

DLC1 - Nightmare (Nightmare Expert)

Difficulty: I Am Death Incarnate
Achievement: Nightmare Expert

Note that final score and medal don't matter for the achievement.

From the start point, turn left and reach the barrier. I think this is the only spot where the fire doesn't kill you.

Round 1 - 3x Elite soldier
Round 2 - 4x Masked enemy

Run counter-clockwise and take down enemies as you go. Don't stop running and shoot in enemies direction so that they stumble and don't shoot back. This strategy is good for both rounds.

Round 3 - 2x Supersoldat

Stand on the right from my initial tactical point or run across and turn left as this is where the two Supersoldaten will spawn. Shoot one at the explosive tanks on his back as he lands. The other one will charge at you, so dodge him and charge right back before he has turned around. Easy.

Round 4 - ~7x Masked enemy

This round will start as soon as the Supersoldat is hit. So immediately turn left and shoot the approaching enemy, then turn to the right side of the arena and throw a grenade at the 3-4 enemies, which will prevent them from shooting at you for a bit and will hopefully kill them. In the meantime, shoot the one-two enemies from across the arena and immediately switch to the Schockhammer in one hand.

Round 5 - 2x Ubersoldat

Use Schockhammer and whatever else you have in dual-wield. This is the worst round in the whole challenge and is where I usually die. My only tip is shoot them as soon as possible. Run forward turning the camera instead of running sideways. You can also jump but not too much as you will slow down and you won't be able to reload. They kill you in 2-3 hits and shoot quite rapidly, so good luck.

Round 6 - 6x Elite soldier

If you made it this far, I find this round pretty easy. Use the Schockhammer and whatever else you have ammo for and shoot the elite soldiers. Charge at them, run around so they don't shoot you.

DLC1 - Venus (Venusian Expert)

As soon as you start run across and take the Sturmgewehr ammo. There is some more in front of the Zitadelle. Make sure you grab it as you run to the corner. THAT CORNER OF SAFETY BEHIND THE BOXES ... it's the key to survival for this level. It has armour and a health pack.

Just make sure to shoot and/or throw grenades at the enemies on the right as they can still kill you. Grendes will distract them and you can use the time whilst hiding from the flamethrower. Shoot the Zitadelle in the head with dual-wield Sturmgewehr between its flame attacks. It shouldn't take too long for it to die.

Once the Zitadelle is destroyed, run across and up the stairs then turn right into the small room at the corner of the map. If you have any grenades left, throw them at the enemies and shoot everyone you see. There are two health packs on a crate to your right so take them.

For the Supersoldaten, I find it most effective to charge at them and shoot their explosive tanks while they are stunned. Sometimes you only need to charge at one and he will die. Keep an eye on your suit coolant - if you need to cool down, make sure there are no enemies around you.

If you need supplies, the upper platform has plenty.

DLC2 - Sacramento (Sacramento Medalist)

You can deal with each floor of this room separately:

First one starts in the very first room. Simply alert the enemy and wait there, shoot around to attract them and they will all come at the door for easy headshots.

For the second floor, you have to approach the second flight of stairs and then return back to the first floor and shoot around. This will attract the enemies to come to you.

Third floor will have 3x Ubersoldat, 1x Supersoldat and 1x Soldier:

• The Ubersoldaten you can lure from the stars towards the third floor. For some reason, if you back out towards the first floor too much, the robots will back out too, so if you run out of health or ammo, use this to stay alive. You will then need to return to the third floor to attract them and repeat as much as needed.
  
  
• The Supersoldat can also be tricked with the stairs. I recommend that you lure him in a position where you can easily shoot the tanks on his back.
  
  
• The soldier will be in the office that you end the level from. He usually hides behind the desk and is easy to take out.

DLC2 - Hollywood (Hollywood Medalist)

Achievement: Hollywood Medalist

For this one, if you don't care about the points, then you could stealth the whole room. However, if you want Gold or Platinum Medal...

Try to create a combo of stealth shots as much as possible at the start. Then run to the back room as shown at 0:20 and shoot in random directions to alert the enemies. Now they will approach you in waves at the door for easy points.

If you see an enemy near the door where you are, shoot them immediately and look for someone else to combo with. If you see an enemy further down the hall, hide behind the wall and wait for another one, so you can combo the two of them at least.

Once the Supersoldat comes, trick him down the library, shoot him in the chest a bit, then run around and shoot the tanks on his back. That should do it. Then the last one will be the Uberkommandant who is alone and easy to deal with.

DLC2 - The Moon (Lunar Medalist)

Achievement: Lunar Medalist

I find this one very easy as you can stay in the first room and lure everyone to you. Start with the explosive tanks in the hall, keep your distance and blow them up. This will attract four soldiers to you for a nice combo.

Next up, what you will have to do quite a few times is run towards the door, wait for the enemies to approach (you can see them from the window) and then run back and shoot at the box that you hide behind. They will come in the hall where you can take them out easily.

The Laserhund is easy, shoot it in the head, but if you see that it charges a shot, run away quickly and then return.

The Supersoldat and Panzerhund will barely be able to fire at you, so simply shoot them by leaning from the doorway to make sure they don't approach you. The last one will be the commander who is easy to take out.

DLC3 - Anchorage (Alaskan Expert)

Achievement: Alaskan Expert

Take out as many enemies as you can with the Pistole without being detected. After that, hide in the area that you start from and use the Sturmgewehr in dual-wield (the second one is obtained from the two soldiers who are having a conversation at the beginning).

The remaining enemies will eventually come to you, especially if you shoot around the room. I took out the Supersoldaten with the Sturmgewehr too. It's fairly easy if you don't care about the score as you won't need to get headshot or combo bonuses.

DLC3 - Kodiak Islands (Kodiak Expert)

At the start, you can combo 2-3 soldiers (or 4 if you take out the commander too) with the Pistol. After that, when the Supersoldat stops in front of the explosive barrel, shoot him first and when he backs out a bit, shoot the barrel to finish him.

Then run to the back room as shown at 0:40 and shoot around the walls to alert and attract enemies. Use dual-wield Sturmgewehr/Maschinenpistole for the regular soldiers and the Kampfpistole for the Supersoldaten.

In some cases the Supersoldaten will come to you, in other cases you will have to leave them for last and seek them out. Two rockets from the Kampfpistole should be enough if you hit them directly. If you run out of rockets, Sturmgewehr or Schockhammer is the alternative.

DLC3 - Submerged (Sub Expert)

Difficulty: I Am Death Incarnate
Achievement: Sub Expert

Try to combo as many stealth kills with the Pistole at the start as you will spawn surrounded by enemies. If you are detected, run with dual Schockhammer to the back room on the right and shoot the tanks on the back of the Supersoldat.

Watch out for the Kampfhund and switch to Kampfpistole in one hand and Schockhammer in another. Use the first for Supersoldat and the latter for every other enemy. If you have spare rockets, use them on the Ubersoldaten.

This may take a few attempts, but it isn't as difficult as it seems especially if you only want the achievement and don't care about score.

For Venusian Expert i did like you and kill Zitadelle while sitting in corner and then just ran up those stairs and exit level. Killed only like 2 other guys but it did the job. Now Nightmare that one is sheer crazyness and also got to have some luck.

Hollywood, Sacramento and Station Omega are easy but the others will use your guide and try.
