The Seasons Achievement Guide
By Dust
In this guide, entire seasons will be skipped for the sake of attaining all of the normal endings, true endings, and everything that comes up in between. Be warned: Saying that spoilers might be awaiting you is just wishful thinking, because spoilers in this guide are inevitable. Therefore, proceed with EXTREME caution.

A starting point that went horribly wrong
Before I can say anything else about this, you should know that this is just yet another achievement guide for a short game. If you're somehow able to read the bits and pieces of not-so-well controlled chaos that took place while I was writing this guide, you might be either the developer of The Seasons, Zelo-Balance, or a shameful 1337 HAXXORZ who lives in an elderly man's basement.

Anyways, immediately after starting the first chapter of The Seasons, Chapter Spring, you'll notice that you unlocked the "Journey Starts" achievement. Don't even think about panicking to the point where you indirectly inspire others to riot and cause billions of dollars in property damage out of pure fear, which turns to anger within the hour, which then gets manifested into insubordination and rebellion when sh-it hits the fan, because that's supposed to happen. Therefore, I'd adivse that you inferior mortals carry on and continue living your daily life through all four seasons.
Chapter Spring
Our story begins with a girl who wants to confess her feelings to this guy she likes, but she's too shy to confront him or leave him an envelope. Said guy thinks she hates him because she avoids him, doesn't speak to him except for the occaisonal "Hi" that they exchange at home, and leaves him to wonder why the distance between them has grown compared to their bond when they were children. And then some weird sh-it about a talking tree that has been combined with human souls that beckon the guy to join them as he dies happens. Oh, and turns out they were brother and sister anyways.

To sum up what I just described:
Shy love interest who can't confess how she feels? Check.
Misunderstanding between both parties regarding what they feel about each other? Check.
Weird sh-it that is really incomprehensible when you first read it? Check, check, and check.
Big reveal that turns the story from "standard romance" to "Incestuous romance"? CHECK.

Chapter Summer
I'll be honest, I initially had a laugh with the idea that the Playstation 9 exists in our world. All jokes aside, the end of this chapter would be a bigger tearjerker if it was the ending of a standalone visual novel in which we get to know the main character and Summer-Chan, understand the relationship between them and grow attached to the characters as a result, and then learn that the main heroine (Summer-Chan) died after the main character comes to accept her death shortly before her ghost moves on to the afterlife.

Chapter Autumn
Wait... So, if the protagonist in this chapter was introduced as a Dota 2 addict who just got hired to test a robot's artificial intelligence, but then turns out to be the artificial intelligence that gets knocked unconscious and has its memory reset while the supposed "robot" wasn't a robot at all, then what is the purpose of these experiments? Just thinking about it makes my head hurt.

Chapter Winter
Have you ever had a moment in your life where you felt the need to abandon your sick brother or sister to go stalk some random person you've never met? If you answered yes, then Tommy Tutone is the man you should call for all things you'll ever need a wingman for when you form a illicit relationship with the boy or girl you chose to stalk. Just dial 867-5309 on your parent's phone without bothering to get their permission, and pay $6 for every minute you're on the line with Mr. Tutone. By law, we're required to inform you that Tutone Wingman Services is not legally or morally responsible for clients who lose their sanity and face trial for murdering the person(s) they were stalking.

The Drunken Afterparty
As the title of this section suggests, this is the part where we get the remaining achievements after finishing the last chapter, get drunk somewhere as we celebrate the completion of this guide (and yet another completion for you, the reader), and either suffer a deadly fall off of a skyscraper or end up prosecuted for manslaughter.

Well, sh-it, that escalated quicker than I had anticipated. Before things go from bad to worse here, let me direct you to the gallery. In there, you'll have to navigate to the second page of CGs used in this Visual Novel, then click on the soul at the bottom of the screen, as shown in the following screenshot, and you'll unlock the "You Find It" achievement.

As for Autumn, I'm still trying to make sense of the ending. At first I thought having the girl's wish granted had her become a robot, but then it turns out it's the same either way. Is the company into making humans into robots? Is the girl experiencing her own form of limbo, where her consciousness is made into a robot? Was she a robot after all? Yeah.

That's the real ambiguous part, the talking tree. At first one might think it's some sort of wish-granter, then it's a wish-twister, and finally it's wish-deceiver(?). I personally believe it is just an entity that literally feeds and grows off of people's desires to correct the errs in their previous lives, almost as if the tree wants to become this spiritual mockery of the upside-down nature of life. At the beginning, it states that it helps change rather than rewrite the past. I'm also pretty sure the souls are "alive" and the tree is another take on the concept of Limbo, and the souls are those who regret enough to not accept their own death. There's also other things, like the lettered souls spelling out actual words if you put all the letters together. I myself haven't made much sense of that yet.

Speaking of the talking tree that connects those four unrelated stories, I don't recall there ever being an explanation as to what the hell it actually is, why all who come in contact with it seem to die (?), what it can do, and whether or not the souls inside the tree are actually the souls of people who spoke to the tree outside of the narratives or something else.

Edited this comment for minor errors.

Oh, I forgot entirely about the Author's afterword that I had read after finishing all four chapters. At the time, I had disregarded it due to it being all about the author's life and the making of this VN, hence why I forgot about it.

My thoughts on the Autumn chapter: It was a massive disappointment, tbh. I had expected plot points such as The Dota 2 addict realizing he's actually the robot/artificial intelligence that keeps getting reset after every test, the fact that the supposed "robot" that was used for these experiments was actually a human employee of that company, what the hell these experiments are, what purpose they serve, and what the company that has these experiments done is planning to do afterwards to be somehow resolved.

Instead, all that happened was that the human employee appeared before the talking tree (?), and then... nothing else happens, we don't ever learn anything else about anything, we just move on to Chapter Winter apparently.

The afterword I was referring to was the one the developer wrote up in the visual novel itself. On another note, I'm real surprised how quickly someone responded. I'll tell you one thing, and this came from writing a review several minutes ago: The developer started this project back in 2015, so expect a work that writes like fanfiction, whereas the overall theme goes from "What am I writing?" to "I think I'm writing."

Your dry humor was what I found real entertaining, and it didn't feel real above the top, just the scrawlings of a madman chiseling his rants on caverock. The ending left the audience on ambiguous note. Did the author live? Did the author not get to feed the birds from back home? It's those sort of questions that keep this guide interesting.

Also, an unrelated note: Yes, I'm aware that some of the screenshots I used for this guide don't have the same art style The Seasons has. That's because those were screenshots of freeware VNs that aren't on Steam that I decided to use in this guide because nonsense is the best kind of humor.
