"In 1975, Bruckell had noticed the Moonhawk's sales trend was starting to decline and that a new car would be needed in order to stay in competition with Gavril. The result was a modified Moonhawk called the Spearhawk. The Spearhawk is basically a Moonhawk on a shortend frame with a few facelifted and performance parts. The Spearhawk was equipped with a 378ci V8, a 4-speed manual transmission, and Bruckell's newly perfected 2.83 PlusTrak limited slip rear differential. The result was a fast and nimble machine. Interior wise, the Spearhawk recieved a dark blue interior with a sport steering wheel as well as front and rear ashtrays and cigarette lighters. The Spearhawk was a huge success! Sales were threw the roof and the money just kept coming in. However, the success would be short lived. In late 1975, a Spearhawk was involved in a major traffic accident and a horrible flaw was exposed. This horrible flaw was that the Spearhawk's fuel tanks were horribly fragile and tendend to rupture in an accident. Once this flaw was exposed to the public, sales plummeted, and Bruckell had to recall all their Spearhawks. Though the cars were brought back to the factory and the problem was corrected, the damage had already been done. The Spearhawk was only built for one year, with only around 10,000 ever being built. Today an original Spearhawk can sell for around $100,000 in prestine condition.
