generally the areas highlighted in orange on your warp menu are the ones with the most online activity at your soul memory tier

It could be. But it is also for dark souls 1. You start from firelink shrine and go or to catacombs or to undead burg or to darkroot basin. But in this chase there are soul level lists.

Might be because paople play the game differently. Some people go to the gutter after lost bastille, some others go to the path to iron keep. So there is no exact soul memory for those areas.

i'm sorry but there are no soul memory list. Only soul level list u can find but soul level in ds2 is useless :(
