Introduction.
First of all, What is NAT. Network Address Translation (NAT) is the process where a network device, usually a firewall, assigns a public address to a computer (or group of computers) inside a private network. The main use of NAT (Generally Speaking) is to limit the number of public IP addresses. Althought there are many types of NAT, the well-known on this game are the the Strict, Moderate and Open NAT types.

Sometimes due to the built-in firewall of the router, you will need to open ports. You may do this by either doing Port Forwarding or Port Triggering. Once the ports are successfully opened, the NAT Type will change to Open or Moderate.

ATTENTION!! READ THIS

NAT type issues sometimes caused by firewall that blocked the UDP ports inbound. Inbound connections that do not match a rule are blocked. See Method 2 / 3 and 4 BELOW

After doing some research I found that every ports works after port forward to Router except UDP 3074 is blocked by firewall

Note:
*this will not speed up your internet speed!
*the methods below might not fix your issues even if you tried all of them but 90% of the people fixed their problems.
#This Guide works on any GAMES just simply change the TCP and UPD ports to the specific games port before foward.
Ports.
Forward all of these ports in your router:

Call of Duty: WWII
TCP Ports 3074, 27015-27030, 27036-27037
UDP Ports 3074, 4380, 27000-27031, 27036

Notes:
*these are the list of TCP and UDP ports used for Call of Duty games (PC) from official site.

Assign Your Device a Static IP Address.
First, you need to gather some information about your network and assign a static IP address to the device you're using. A static IP address is an unchanging number identifying a device on your network, and to forward a port you first need to give your router the static IP address of the device for which you are opening the port.

- To set a static IP address on a Windows 7 or Vista PC, open Control Panel. Click Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center. In the left pane, click Change adapter settings in Windows 7; in Vista, click Manage network connections.

- Right-click Local Area Connection; then click Properties.

- In the list, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and click Properties.

- Select Use the following IP address. Add 10 to the last digit of your Default Gateway number and enter it into the IP address field. For example, if your Default Gateway is 192.168.1.1, the new number is 192.168.1.11.

You can assign yourself a static IP address by tinkering with the IPv4 Properties menu of your router.
Forward Ports.
To get to your router:

On your PC open up a command prompt (Windows Key + R, then type "cmd" and press enter).
Type "ipconfig" in the command prompt, press enter.
Look for the "Default Gateway" IP address, this is usually your router, and more than likely will be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

To access your router type your Default Gateaway address in your browser URL search bar.
Enter the username and password (the default username and password for routers is admin (both username and password) or leave the fields blank and click login(most cisco routers) .

- To forward ports on your router, look for a tab or menu labeled “Applications & Gaming,” “Advanced,” “Port Forwarding/Port Triggering,” “NAT/QoS,” or something similar.

- No matter what the router or interface, you’ll need to enter the same basic information. Enter the port you want to open under Internal and External, or enter a range of ports to open under Start and End. If you aren’t sure what port(s) you need to open for an application, consult this Port Forward list.

- Choose the Protocol (TCP, UDP, or both).

- Enter the static IP address you created.

- Be sure Enable is selected if available. Enter a name under Application, then save the changes.

Note:
*if neither of these work google it or reset the router to its default settings.

Here is some Methods to OPEN NAT
Method 1 - Re-enable UPnP.
UPnP:

Access your router type your Default Gateaway address in your browser URL search bar

- Go to UPnP and disable it

- Apply the change

- Now enable UPnP and save the changes

- Restart/Reboot router
Method 2 - Personal Firewall.
Personal Firewall:

COD WWII tried to use UDP port 3074 to open the required port for an open NAT in-game.

- On the Start menu, click Run, type WF.msc, and then click OK.

- In the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security, in the left pane, right-click Inbound Rules, and then click New Rule in the action pane.

- In the Protocol and Ports dialog box, select UDP. Select Specific local ports, type 3074.

- In the Action dialog box, select Allow the connection, and then click Next.

- In the Profile dialog box, select any profiles that describe the computer connection environment when you want to connect to the Database Engine, and then click Next.

- In the Name dialog box, type a name and description for this rule, and then click Finish.

Note:
*make sure that Call of Duty: WWII - Multiplayer is allowed in the Windows Firewall Exception
Method 3 - Firewall Settings.
Firewall settings in the Router:

Some of these options do not let any incoming connections in even if a port forwarding rule is already in place. Routers that have the extra firewall options which setting you should use to allow port forwarding to work. Routers differ in their firewall rules and settings. Make sure to check for any firewall settings in your router to see if anything is set to block incoming connections.

- Turn off the firewall or just put it at its minimum setting.

- Make sure that Disable SPI Firewall is checked and then click Apply, and wait for your router to reboot.

- If WAN (Internet) to LAN (Your Computer) is set to block. This will keep port forwarding from working. Set it to Forward and hit Apply.
Method 4 - Antivirus with Firewall /e.g ESET Smart Security.
Setup rules / Forward ports:

- Open the main program window of your ESET Windows product.

- Press the F5 key to access Advanced setup.

- Click Firewall, expand Advanced and click Edit next to Rules.

- Click New, forward these ports:

UDP Ports 3074, 4380, 27000-27031, 27036
TCP Ports 3074, 27015-27030, 27036-27037

Method 5 - Multiple Rules.
Same Port in Multiple Rules:

There are some routers such as Linksys, D-Link and many others that do not do any checks if a port is already in another port forwarding rule. A port can only be forwarded to one Computer/IP at a time. So when there are multiples of the same port number the port forwarding rule will not work.
Other Methods - Feedbacks.
Thank you for reading this guide

I swear I'm going to lose it. I tried literally everything listed over here and it still shows Strict type. :BL3Facepalm: I changed my Ethernet IP to static, made like 5 virtual servers in my router's settings for different COD ports, did the same in port triggering, restarted UPnP, put on DMZ, turned on and off my router, turned firewall off and it's still showing Strict...
The worst part is last time when me and my friend played WW2 back in may, we were able to connect to each other with no problems. I have no clue what happened that prevents us to play in one party now

yeah i checked it and it was allowed in the firewall setting

@hotshot
Did you check the firewall setting or antivirus?

i am using a PLDT R051 router from the philippines and i tried to ask help from a technician and he did tried to put all those TCP and UDP ports but it still cannot play multi. He said that there are so many ports to pass through that is why even though i have port forwarded it it will still say "strict" type. Please help me guys i really wanna play this game.

Guess you're not, running a port on 3074 external tcp/udp 3074 internal enable you to turn your nat to open, UDP is used with IP but unlike TCP on Port 3074, UDP Port 3074 is connectionless and does not guarantee reliable communication, lot of games or platforms used 3074 port TOO but I recommend you to forward all these ports from COD Official Site. Lastly protocol UDP port 3074 was flagged as a virus the firewall can cause the port to remain closed, even if it has been successfully mapped by the router.

This was ALOT to read but I guess my fix was cause I was lucky, I understand that there can be many root causes. All I had to do was add "3074" in my router's settings for port forwarding in the "UDP"option. AND BOOM NAT type "OPEN".

@Owen G.
Ok I will try forwarding all the ports and see if it stops the constant disconnection. Thanks for your help!

These are the list of TCP and UDP ports used for Call of Duty games (PC) from official site. I recommend you to forward all of them. Open NAT type are hardly get dropped from games. Or, I think its an issue with the WW2 servers/region, Its on Sledgehammers end, not yours because everyone /or maybe few of them is getting the same problem.

Got my NAT to open by forwarding port 3074 but not the rest of the ports. Do I have to forward them all or is this good enough? Also I've been noticing that I get the "Disconnected from Host" error a lot now than when my NAT was moderate.
