Scenario 'Island Hopping' Santa Palma. Vanilla gameplay (Scenario win unlock)

Description
Santa Palma by Twilight. My little bay for pirates...

Sidenote: I cannot believe that steam censors the words pirate and bay if placed consecutively^^. No innocent use of the words, apparently...Arrrr.

My won scenario savegame for the 'Island Hopping' Scenario of the Natural Disasters DLC.

Might unlock the scenario win for you. If it doesn't and you want the unlock, contact me so i can upload a version shortly before the win.

As this was rather quickly grown be prepared to experience some death waves next.

As usual only pure vanilla gameplay, no mods or assets (except DLCs of course).

Features:
* absoluteley no mods or foreign assets have been used. Purely vanilla.
* Survived all tsunamis and reached 250k+ citizen
* above 80% traffic flow
* low 44% noise pollution
* Nice neighbourhood separation
* all islands connected with roads and metro
* inter city cargo hauling done by ships
* metro system with good profits

Regarding DLC usage:
If you do not have all DLC its not that critical and easily fixed.
* Put down regular power plants and regular water treatment plants
* Instead of the Ultimate Recycling plant monument from Green Cities you have to plop down some regular incineration plants.
* The High Tech buildings DLC was only used for the cryopreservatory instead of the usual crematoria. Plop regular ones.
* After Dark was only for a Hotel and Leisure District.
* Some roads from Mass transit were used.

Do you have any other mods on that inhibit achievements?
ZombieCaveRabbit Sep 19, 2022 @ 10:18am
No it is same....no achievements possible.

Oh, that change might explain it. What a silly thing for them to do... Thanks for letting me know.

What if you take the file out of the workshop folder and put it into your savegame folder?

I had over 25k ppl in the City.

If i select your Map, there is the achievement icon crossed out...with the info it is a savegame from the steamworkshop, so all achievement are not active.

As a little tip:
load your savegame up and put a download link in your description.

Strange, it worked back in the day as others confirmed. Did your population really go over 250k? Maybe they changed something in between...

Glad that you like it!

The bad thing:
It didnt work to get anything to unlock...all achievements are locked.

The good thing:
The map is really great build up. Nice work,dude.

Thanks a lot :) I really couldn't be bothered to do this 250k population scenario after taking forever to get 260k population for Tornado Country. And tsunamis and earthquakes sound like cancer.

Hey mate, thanks!

And yeah, i wondered if a "completed scenario" post-complete savegame still counts as completed or if showing the "completed" screen is necessary. I made another save just right before the completing, but you know how it is... you fix this.. and then that is not nice enough.. and then you continued for another 4 hours etc.. :D
Actually since putting it up on the workshop i improved it even further.

Funny thing is, on my way to grind to the 250k people on this low space map, i suddenly started to like the map a lot and started to work on the details too.

Actually does the job, just doesn't show the "completed" screen. If you're after the unicorn park it'll show this one ticked off once you've loaded it.

Lovely city you've made there too, I must say.
