What will you find in this guide?
Firstly: This is a guide for intermidiate players. They are aware of the weapons stats, playing goals and caveiras skill.

In this guide you will find:
  • Basics
  • How to play
  • Tips

Last update: Friday 17th of November 2017.
Basics
1.1 Basic knowledge
As probably mentioned in every guide you will need to have basic knowledge of all maps at all times, before even starting to play with Caveira. Aside from this you will need to have know where the camera's will be. The reason as to why you need this knowledge will be explained in the next paragraph.

Aside from the map knowledge, it's also important to determine your strategy in the begin statium of a round in casual or chosing phase in ranked. You are able to play in a range of: very aggressive or very passive. Only somtimes your strategy is situationally changing. For example wyhen you interrogated someone.

Lastly, you will need a anchor (camper in the objective) to help you look on the camera's to figure out what operators have been chosen and spawned on which location.

1.2 Weapons and gadgets
I'm not going to bother you with the exact stats of the weapons, but I'd like to talk you through your tactics and goals you'd like to achieve with Caveira. This fully depends on your gameplay and strategy (described in §1.1).

Let me get this clear before I start making a decision between the shotgun or the SMG: I love SMG's, as it is so comforting and it can manage distances. Your pistol is fine on medium range, but long distances need to be a headshot, to save yourself. That being said, choose the below stated weapon or gadget when you feel like it fits your strategy/gameplay:
Shotgun: Short ranges, no run-outs, people rushing you.
SMG: Run-outs (+ probably long distances), dealing with pistol kills is no problem for you.
Grenade: Finishing kills, opening unreinforced walls to run away.
Barbed wire: Sound exposing. (This makes others alert someone (or rather you, if they know your identity) will probably be close, if the barbed wire is out of rage of the objective.)

I'm also going to talk you through 2 customizations:
1. Silencer: There has always been a discussion going on, whether you need to use a silencer or not. Personally I feel like you should, especially in Caveiras situation. If someone a floor below can hear EXACTLY where you are, then you're doomed. If they need to gasp a bit, because they heard you somewhere, but not close enough, you can completely change your route to the other side of the map. Tip: Always chose a complete other way as from what you expect them to take.
2. Laser sight:
- On the pistol: I personally wouldn't, because I look through a door (with a tight angle), while not moving. This makes me very vulnerable, as they are able to see the red dot sticking out. -
- SMG/Shotgun: Yes, IF you use hip fire a lot. If you don't hipfire frequently... Please, just keep it off, as it is more revealing then helping you.
How to play
2.1 Explenation
This paragraph will be backed up with an example of how I play.

Step 1: Make logical reinforcements: Either run upstairs to do hatches or 2 walls next to each other. Try not to be spotted by a drone, to make sure your identity is unkown until your first interrogation.
Step 2: Run away to a location where you can watch the area you are in through a camara. Camara destoryed equals someone nearby!
Step 3: Make sure you start camming with the start positions. (Preferably other teammates take another cameras as well, so you can collect as much info as you need.
Step 4: Start camming your area more often, but also the other cameras to indicate where they entered and what way they are going to the objective.
Step 5: After determing what road to the objective they are following, it's time to come from behind and do your job. If someone spots you through a drone or someone is covering the back.. You might want to turn around and rather run.
Step 6: Check if it is safe to interrogate. If not: Shoot with your pistol/SMG/Shotgun or throw an impact grenade.
Step 7: Keep repeating until your team has killed everyone or the time runs out.

2.2 Example
You are playing Ranked and the map that is provided to you is Bank with biohazzard container. Your team dicides the objective needs to be in archives.
Step 1: Logical reinforcements. Try to reinforce the walls "Admin Office" (to "Open Area") or "Tellers' office".

Step 2: Run away to safe location. In this situation I have 3 options:
  1. Going to the vault, where I can check on camera "Vault Lobby" if they are coming towards me.
  2. Going to the loan office (main lobby), where I can check on the camera "Lobby" where they are coming from.

Figure 1: Your spot in loan office.

Figure 2: Your view on the camera.
  3. Meeting room (behind the table, laying down on the floor), with supervision of a blackeye camera from Valkery.

Step 3: Camming spawn locations. Try to retrieve as much information as you can gather. Who spawned where, what operators are there, etc. Check §3.1 for some tips!

Step 4: Keeping an eye on yourself. If the camera near you is destroyed you know there might someone be close, or is running away from you as far as he is able to. Always assume it's the first one. Go off the cameras, listen carefully of what you hear, interpretate them and then determine your moves.

Step 5: Shhhhh.. It's killing time. After determining your moves, try to come from behind.

Step 6: After getting someone DBNO'ed (Downed But Not Out) check if it is safe to interrogate. If not: Shoot with your pistol/SMG/Shotgun or throw an impact grenade.

Step 7: Keep repeating until your team has killed everyone or the time runs out.
Tips
3.1: Tips
  1. If someone is called out to be alone or you spotted him being alone, don't run in like a superhero, but try to remain calm, predict here he will walk to and slowly approach them from behind.
  2. Main targets. You always need to be aware of the enemies who counter you or are a huge danger of making a gamechange.
    • Thermite and Hibana: They are able to breach parts, you wish them not to breach, as you reinforced it for a reason. Beware: Usually these players are not alone. Once DBNO'ed: Kill it quickly!
    • Fuze: It depends on which map you are playing, but in several maps he can easily fuze from above, causing a lot of danger for your teammates.
    • Countering operators: Operators who counter your teammates, make your teammates useless.. Taking them out, will make them a lot more usefull during the game. (For example IQ with Kapkan.)
  3. Jackal's track is useless when he activates while you're in silent step. Once you do get tracked without silence step on, it means it stops giving information of where you are. Notice that this goes for about 2 out of 4 tracks. This makes his track ability decently useless.. Pro tip: Cause steps in the beginning, predict when he is going to scan it and make his track useless. (Credit: The_Silver_Nuke)
  4. If you made a kill, without interrogation I strongly advise you to run away (in silent step mode) as far as you can. The reason as to why, is simply that people are decently focussed on taking out roamers. Roamers are able to come from behind easily, once you're not checking your back.
  5. Leaving someone DBNO'ed, might mean you bait someone in coming towards the already DBNO'ed person. This might provide you a second interrogation. Warning: The person who is bleeding out is able to determine where you shot from, and so where you are. He is also still able to listen to where you are. The last risk is that you die and the enemy picks his teammate up, or he gets picked up before you could interfere. (Credit: GooglePixel2)
  6. You can reload and sprint at the same time, if you are in silent step. (You will need to press reload, before sprinting.) (Credit:

With which one? In all honesty she is pretty easy to play, all you have to do is sit off objective and wait for someone dumb enough to walk past you, you don't really even need map memorization.

Pro tip: Don't play Cav in ranked. There's a reason she's at near 0% pick rate in pro leagues.

She's ridiculously powerful when you pull off the WINterrogation.. but mostly you'll get killed performing it.

Most of the maps are really really simple though. Like you could memorize almost all of them after spending jusdt 15-20 minutes on it.
