One of the many challenges in Call of Duty: WWII is gaining XP to advance through the ranks. Each rank progressively requires more XP to level up to the next rank until reaching and completing the maximum rank.

After earning the maximum rank, you can continue playing as normal, but XP earned will not count toward any further rank progression. Here, you'll be given the option to enter Prestige.
How to Earn XP and Level up Quickly
After every online match of Call of Duty: WW2, you'll earn XP based upon all your actions in that one game. You'll always earn XP for all the kills you scored in the game, but you'll also be rewarded for whether you played the actual objective of the game, and this is key to leveling up quickly.

Completing orders from Headquarters will earn you some small XP on the side

For example, if you're playing a game of Domination, where two teams compete to control three zones around the map, you'll be rewarded with more XP if you captured or defended any zones against enemy players. One thing to bear in mind is that Call of Duty: WW2 always rewards players for playing the objective over going for kills, so if you're playing Domination, you should go after the three zones, instead of just running around the map and seeking out players to kill. This is key to earning XP quickly, and using the game modes in Call of Duty: WW2 to level up quickly.

Just below, I'll run through the best game modes through which to earn the most amount of XP in Call of Duty: WW2. I'll also be explaining exactly how you can get the most amount of XP out of just a single game of each mode, so you can quickly level up, all with the goal of working towards a Call of Duty WW2 Prestige level.

  • Domination – As I mentioned just above, Domination revolves around two teams competing to control three points at once. You can earn massive amounts of XP for both capturing and holding zones against enemy players, even more so if you get any kills while capturing a zone. This is a great mode to get stuck into, especially if you're in the early ranks, as it'll earn you XP very quickly.
  • Hardpoint – Another mode that revolves around capturing a point, Hardpoint instead features a single point, that moves around the map every minute. Holding the point gains you a steady stream of XP, but if you're able to either kill enemies on the point, or hold them off from invading the point, then you're bound to get some huge XP rewards and level up quickly.
  • War – This is a slightly strange one to include, but there's some solid XP to gain since this mode is once again based around zones. Both teams attack and defend a series of objectives, and if you happen to be in the vacinity of an objective while defending it from enemy players, you're bound to gain some nice XP rewards after the game if over, even if your side ends up losing.
  • Team Deathmatch – Again, another mode that might sound like an odd one to include, Team Deathmatch is an excellent mode for gaining XP quickly from, if you're a good player. If you honestly excel at simply killing enemy players, rather than actually playing the objective, then I'd recommend going with Team Deathmatch, or maybe even Free-for-All if you're feeling daring, as you'll bag yourself some huge XP rewards if you come in near the top of your team at the end of the game.

Using Scorestreaks will also get you some XP rewards

These are all the best modes that I'd recommend playing, if you're looking to gain multiplayer XP in Call of Duty: WW2 and level up quickly to gain a Call of Duty WW2 Prestige level. Bear in mind that I'm not guaranteeing you'll earn massive amounts of XP simply from playing these modes, as you'll have to perform to a fairly decent level while in-game, if you want to be rewarded with hefty amounts of XP.
How to Prestige
What is Prestige?
Prestige is the next step in the overall progression in Call of Duty: WWII. Entering Prestige resets your soldier to Rank 1 and relocks all the Weapons, Lethals, Tacticals, Basic Training skills, and Scorestreaks you unlocked with Unlock Tokens along the way. However, all weapon attachments, Challenges, Camos, Calling Cards, and progress toward unlocking them are unaffected.

How do I enter Prestige?

Talk to the General in the Prestige Overlook in Headquarters to enter Prestige and collect your rewards for prestiging.

Entering Prestige grants you the following:
  • Prestige Unlock Token – permanently unlocks one item for your loadouts
  • Rank Reset – resets your soldier to Rank 1 and relocks all rank-dependent items, excluding any items that are permanently unlocked
  • Keep your progress – retain your Division Levels, Weapon Levels, challenge progress, and customization items
  • Prestige Rewards – get access to special Prestige Rewards and Challenges
  • Class Slot – get one additional class slot
Note: You cannot enter Prestige Outlook or talk to the General until you reach maximum rank for the first time.

Division and Weapon Prestige
You can also level up and prestige Divisions and Weapons.
  • Division Prestige – Prestige a Division to earn unique Weapons, Basic Training skills, Uniforms, and more only available through Division Prestige. You can prestige all five Divisions.
  • Weapon Prestige – Prestige your weapons to gain the ability to place a Kill Counter or Clan Tag on your favorite gun. You can prestige every Primary and Secondary weapon, and doing so resets the weapon's level and relocks its attachments.
