GCCM: Main mod

This is GCCM, or "Grand Campaign Custom Maps". It's a mod that brings custom maps to the campaign, with the goal of increasing visual and gameplay variety. The project was started during the first game ( GCCM1 ), and we will continue in TWW2 and TWW3.

This mod is NOT COMPATIBLE with the GCCM Beta. You either enable this one, or the other one. This one also is NOT COMPATIBLE with the old, no longer needed, settlement/island packs. If you still have them, disable them or things will break.

This mod is COMPATIBLE with everything else. Also, is save-compatible.

Just the GCCM Assets mod, and IT'S NOT OPTIONAL. SOME MAPS WILL CRASH WITHOUT IT.

If you're having issues with the mod please, first try the following:

• Make sure you're subscribed to the main mod & the asset pack.
  
• Verify the integrity of the game in steam.

Then answer these questions:

• Which settlement was it?
  
• Did this happen on Mortal Empires or Vortex Campaign?
  
• Which race was defending & which race was attacking?
  
• Were you defending or attacking?
  
• Did either side have reinforcements?
  
• Was it a walled or unwalled settlement battle?
  
• When did it crash, exactly?
  
• Did it show a battle preview before crashing?

The maps were not all created by the developers of this mod. The complete credits can be found ingame, in the Credits section of the main menu.

We have integrated the maps of these wonderful people into the mod to lower the mods needed to be enabled during this mod. What this also means is that the individual map makers won't really notice when you enjoy their map, so if you really enjoy a map be sure to upvote their map and let them know you enjoyed it, it helps to keep people motivated when they get some love! Note that you can still download the maps individually. Just remember to disable this mod when you do it, or there may be conflicts.

GCCM is fundamentally a colaborative project, where we incorporate the maps of many different creators (including us) into the campaign. The discord channel has been a great way for all of us to share our individual WIP maps and get feedback, and we want to use the GCCM project to help grow TWW's map making community. This is part of the reason that we started the GCCM Patreon, which we want to use to create competitions in order to incentivise and reward map makers.
